I respect your opinions very much but I feel like you got this one completely wrong. The elements that you most strongly criticize (e.g. the pitched vocal samples) must have really taken away from your enjoyment of this work because for me this is some of Burial's strongest stuff since Untrue. He has completely mastered providing a vivid mood and feeling to his listener and these elements seemed crucially important to me in this effort when I listened to the tracks. I understand being disappointed when an artist takes a direction that you don't like, especially when you appreciate their earlier work, but I feel like that clouded your opinions and you didn't judge this album on its own merits.
