I had the veggie sampler. Great baba ghanoush. My bf had a lamb dish. This is one of his favorite places to eat. We have been before and remember the service being slow but today it was really fast.

Awesome food, approved by all my Arab friends. The best is the lebneh, and I don't know why their baba ganoosh tastes nothing like baba ganoosh, but it is delicious and amazing nonetheless. Differenet specials every night - the haneez is the best, but of course if you're not there on a Sunday they don't have it. Everything else is great too, I've never been disappointed here. <3

I liked everything I had here. The food was very fresh. Some highlights were the Beef Shawarma and the Warbat pastry. Service was great - pleasant and quick.

Jerusalem Restaurant used to be one of my favorite restaurants. My husband and I loved it so much that we decided to have them cater our wedding a couple of weekends ago. This turned out to be a monumental mistake. I hope this post will prevent another unsuspecting customer from going through the same stress and disappointment that my husband and I went through. Jerusalem Restaurant, which proclaims itself to be a restaurant that specialized in catering TOTALLY DROPPED THE BALL and messed up the date of our event; they wrote down the WRONG date. I’m still perplexed as to how they managed to mess up the date of the event, since there were at least half a dozen emails and two face to face meetings with the catering manager in which we discussed the date of the event. Mistakes happen, but imagine our distress as guests were arriving and the event was beginning, but we could not reach the catering manager/owner. We called the restaurant directly and were told we would receive a call back. After an interminable wait (guests had arrived, but it was clear that food was not on the way), we were finally called. Reacting as best they could, perhaps, they offered to send as much of the order as they had on hand within an hour. I appreciate the effort to recover, but it was a serious blow to our event's mood. We called again in an hour to check and make sure something was on the way, AGAIN our calls were screened and we had to call the restaurant to find out what was happening. It does NO good to give us a direct line to catering if it won't be answered, particularly in the middle of a problem. In the end, the restaurant slapped together what they could (It was VERY obvious the food was put together last minute, starting with the burnt-to-a-char onions on the mujadara). Because of the rushed job, the restaurant was unable to prepare all the dishes that we had ordered and paid for. Instead, it provided a quicker and cheaper substitute and we received a gift certificate to the restaurant for the difference. Offering a gift certificate to their restaurant for money that they owe me is hardly compensatory, it's insulting. And what about the costs we incurred as some of our guests ran to the nearest store for hors d'oevre to offer as holdovers for our guests? My emails since to the catering manager asking for a proper refund have gone unanswered. Mistakes happen, but the communication was/is a reason we cannot recommend Jerusalem Cafe for catering if your event is important.

Our go-to place for inexpensive and thoroughly authentic tastes from home. A great local establishment. You won't be disappointed.

Informal, friendly, authentic with huge pastry selection. Clientele probably 80% Middle Eastern. Bread baked real time for your order.
