Loyalty. Friendship. Love. These fundamental aspects of marriage represented on this Claddagh ring are not exclusive to heterosexual relationships.

Supporting everyone from county to lovely county in Ireland voting YES in the referendum on marriage equality today.

When an unknown artist wears their influences proudly on their sleeve it's called being derivative and a rip-off.
When a famous and liked artist does the same thing, no matter how well, it's called an hommage.

A little Holiday treat...
As I keep busy on the screenplay for my feature, I like to get out when I can and shoot little projects to help keep creative ideas flowing. I love my neighbourhood, the 15th arrondissement of Paris, and I particularly love the way it gets festive in December for the holidays. Sometimes, when you're in the middle of writing a script, the thirst for actually shooting it is momentarily quenched by throwing together a little video which also acts as more practice, which doesn't ever make perfect, but certainly helps keep you learning.

Enjoy Christmas in the 15ème and Joyeux Fetes!

Wow...
Facebook now wants me to PAY them to buy likes from my followers. Sorry, but I respect my followers because I appreciate every one of them whether it's for following my film work or the silly things I say online. I'm not going to pay them for advertising an audience I've grown organically.
So, now everyone who DOES pay Facebook for their posts will drown out people like me who don't pay. Nice.

Neighbourhood blog for the #UpperWestSide  (and labour of love for good friend of mine who runs it, not gonna disguise my bias) was just added to a list of essential #NewYork blogs.
Indie production online proves itself yet again to be a viable way for people to do what they love. This blog started with nothing. No ad revenue, no funding from an ad network, it wasn't part of a ring of already known blogs. It's now relied upon for local news and has even broken stories before major news outlets in Manhattan. It's not just filmmakers who can benefit from online distribution and social media.
Congratulations, +West Side Rag !!

The clocks have sprung forward, spring is slowly getting out of bed and stretching its rested arms, and for the first time in my life, I went through an entire winter with no snow. To me that's like... well, like winter without snow. In honour of the wonderful flakes that never fell and the winter never truly realised, I'm posting the little video I shot last winter during a glorious snowfall that lasted hours. It's not the same but it'll have to do until next winter... I hope.
