Finally got myself an SSD on one of my PCs. My primary PC doesn't have one yet, and probably wont for awhile. But my secondary PC, and school laptop, has seen a dramatic improvement in speed and responsiveness.

I use HDSentinel for Linux. It's free to use if you just wanna check to see where the drive is at in its life.

Ok, so you're comparing two different SSDs inside of two different PCs that don't even have similar specs? Can't call this a fair comparison.

I find this to be a nifty little device. Just bought one of these as a birthday present to myself. So far, I have had no issues with it. My mother, an avid Hulu Plus user tried it out and loved it compared to her Roku, which gives her constant problems. She also likes that it works with her iPhone. Great little app.

lol. My main computer (laptop) and my file server (old Dell desktop) have hard disk drives. The main computer has a 500GB Toshiba 5200RPM HDD. Not my favorite brand, but it's been working well. The server has a mix of Seagate and Western Digital IDE drives. Old ones. But, again, they work. The laptop that I use for school, on the other hand (my third computer), has a Crucial 120GB SSD. It boots much faster than my newer laptop, and loads applications faster too. I also have a 3TB Seagate external drive.

I hate the Youtube app on Android. Just saying. Regardless, I recently purchased a Chromecast and decided that I liked it. My mom tried it and decided she wanted one to replace her Roku for Hulu. She hates the Roku. Hardly works, but the Chromecast works well with Hulu and her iPhone.

Unfortunately, plugging it into the USB port on my TV causes noticeable static in the background. So I use the AC adapter with it. That seems to be working pretty well.

Bought my Blu-ray player for $48 LAST YEAR.  This year, a newer model based on last years model was on sale for $38 for Black Friday. Mine is still going strong even though it's a mass produced model.

I've got the first two Riddick movies on Blu Ray for about $30 in a single package , and that came with a coupon for Oblivion on Blu Ray which comes bundled with the DVD and is normally priced at $20. So I picked that up too. Last night I bought the Gladiator on Blu Ray for about $4 - the extended version. Blu Ray is pretty damn affordable here in 2013. I won't even buy DVDs anymore because Blu Ray is so affordable now.

+Killagoku PC I remember getting the Dark Knight Trilogy on Blu-Ray for Christmas of 2012 (the year I bought the player). It was on sale as a gift set for about $30. Really good price for all three. Spent over $20, however, on Fast and Furious 6 shortly after its release. We have Fast Five on Blu-Ray as well, and the rest of the franchise on DVD. I'm actually starting to sell off most of my DVDs now.
