I planned a bachelor party for 12 guys and had no idea what to do. I saw warplay paintball on groupon and decided to give it a go. From scheduling the trip, to collecting the equipment, to playing several great games of paintball, we had a blast the whole time. We really didn't spend that much money (40$ for a days worth of paintball). Most importantly, the staff was incredible and the field was beautiful! They kept our group together the whole time (which is hard for a group of 12), and the field was excellent for strategic play. We definitely plan on coming back at some point, and I can not think of a better experience we could have had for my best friends bachelor party!

As visiting from Kentucky i have to say this was the highlight of my weekend and more, it has been one of the best paintball places i have ever been. The staff was incredible, had no problems. Really good fields. Definitely coming back. I would highly recommend going here for anyone who as never gone paint balling to people who are experienced. Great place for a lot FUN!

My team and I played here yesterday. We had a great time. The fields are designed extremely well and really require the use of a lot of strategy to succeed. They did a great job of balancing the teams and still keeping the groups together. I loved the use of the reinsertion windows instead of a continuous re-spawn. It kept everybody playing but would produce wave of attacks which made for a lot of excitement. I highly recommend. Team Affliction

Had a blast at Warplay Paintball. The staff is awesome and extremely friendly. The speedball field is well maintained and has plenty of bunkers and a nice turf field. Great field for the brave speed freaks :) One of the best fields I have been to where you feel at home. Amateur and Pro friendly of all ages. An all around great paintball experience. See you on the fields.

I had really great time at Warplay. It was my first time ever playing. All the courses were great. The customer service was really excellent. The group of six people who I went with all agreed that we definitely want to go back soon. Totally worth the drive from Charlottesville.

I sat in 4 hours of traffic on I95 to get here and it was worth every minute (take 66 and rt29 from NOVA, it's still faster and I'm in Arlington). I'm never going to Pevs again. These guys take costumer service to a whole new level. I went with 3 friends (4 total), 2 of us had a living social deal, but they gave the same offer to the other 2 just to be nice. Staff was great, refs were on point and made sure the rules were followed, fields are set up great. Didn't play speedball, but I loved their woodsball. The scenarios added an extra level of difficulty but the newer people were able to keep up. I played with everyone from 12 year olds, to former military to video game nerds looking to experience the real thing. Awesome time, I can't wait to go back.

Extremely courteous staff but needs improvement. Staff focus on people having fun was evident. All day air for $10 is a big plus. Solid safety briefing. Appreciate that woodsball is still alive and well. Warplay really needs to focus on the following to be a 5-star field: (1) Re-stack teams for fairness. The entire day we were outmatched both in numbers and experience (experience is typically obvious just from looking at guns and apparel, not to mention team wins). (2) Add fields, and expand the current field and modify layout. It was too small for teams of 30+, and we were disappointed to find we would only play on one field the entire day. (3) Don't do scenarios unless specifically requested. Rules for scenarios were confusing and made it difficult to form a strategy. Paintballing is fun on its own as team elimination or Capture the Flag - no need to complicate it. (4) Don't do re-spawn; instead make games shorter. Games ran approx. 25 minutes and each time you got hit you'd only have to sit out a minute before coming back in. Very hard to make a strategy when people are constantly coming back into the game. At one point a ref confirmed that it would be fine if I walked right out of the dead zone and shot the opposing team in the back. I asked again to reconfirm out of disbelief. They were only 10 ft away and completely unaware. Additionally, respawning makes people less inclined to call themselves out, knowing they'll only be coming back in a minute later. We witnessed this all day long, as people would get hit multiple times and fail to call themselves out. (5) Refs need to be far more involved; I repeatedly called for a paint check and it took over 3 minutes for them to come over. My teammates and I noted many, many hits on opposing players who failed to acknowledge them as refs sat idly by. By the end of the day, rules were almost completely ignored. (6) Have armbands (or more easily identifiable markers) to identify team colors. Refs tied thin construction tape to guns that made it difficult to tell teammates from the opposing team unless their gun was openly visible. (7) Get more staff involved in transactions at the front counter to move lines along. Overall, still very fun and would probably go back again. Appreciated that staff clearly want people to enjoy themselves. Hope they keep working to make it better. (I have about 6 years of experience, having played at Virginia Adventure Games and later Adventure games, as well as Pev's. This was my first trip to Warplay, along with 6 coworkers who were all beginners.)
