Thanks to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser for JJ's staff. Because of you we were able to donate over $1633 dollars to help members of our extended restaurant family.

Menu
Fric & Frac was founded in 1976 and has been the neighborhood hangout ever since. Both eclectic and unique, just like its patrons, Fric & Frac has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're coming in for an amazing sandwich the Turkey Philly or the "Kelly", named after the proprietor's sister, or to check out the billiards room, Fric & Frac has something for everyone. Run by the Ross family, who has been in the industry for years, you can find Max at the restaurant in the afternoon or dj'ing around town in the evening; or say hi to his dad Rudy too. Continually run by the Ross family, we strive to bring our patrons great food and a fun experience. From our awesome nightly specials to our game room, there is something for everyone at an incredible value.

In case you're curious, the name Fric & Frac came from an old comedy duo in the 30's; one of Max's favorite childhood memories is corresponding with Fric. Even if you're not a barrel jumper or stuntman like the original duo, come in and see us. We can't wait to say hi.

Do I have to give this place even ONE star in order to properly 'review' it? Certainly undeserving. I have now lived here in the KC metro area for half a year, and there has been a fair share of decent places to eat and not-so-decent places. This particular "Fric & Frac" place was leaps & bounds worse than any place I have ever stepped foot in (regardless of me being in KC or elsewhere in the nation). First, we must discuss the service that everyone has already noted within the reviews of the place. Terrible. No personality, no checkups, "what would you like to drink"...no bothers to refill, toothless, tattoo's, etc. you know the kind. Second, yes the place is dirty and in a dirty area. As we walk towards the restaurant, there are spray-paint artists 'decorating' walls nearby, mid-day drunks coming and going through the liquor store by bicycle, etc. The restaurant itself looks to be ran by true professionals in every sense of the word. I felt like I had entered into a mixture of a town suffering from nuclear radiation and one that was stuck in the cocaine snorting days of the 1960's from the given atmosphere and vibe. Another Example: The cook walks by us as we're finishing our meal and asks how everything is, as he walks out the front door to light up a cigarette. Lastly, the food sucked. Absolute the worst food we've eaten since being KC residents. The fries are (as others have said) tasteless and seem to come straight from the freezer bags in Sam's. The burgers had stuff on them unmentioned in the menu, were overcooked & dry, and I personally would have much rather had a burger from Mac D's. Save yourself the time, money, and most importantly the bad experience you'll surely have with this 'restaurant'. Your dignity is much better served elsewhere, I have nothing remotely good at all to say about this place, and will never step foot back in it

I have been going to Fric and Frac for years. I can't ever remember getting anything but good food. The Hot Kelly is the best sandwich ever! Plus they have great specials during the week.

Visited this place at 1pm on a Monday. Staff was friendly and changed the soccer game to another team for us. But you would not frickin believe the Grilled Chicken Sandwich they brought me. What a joke. I seriously laughed out loud at it and when the bartender asked if I needed anything else I said, "Yeah, looks like you forgot to put chicken on my sandwich." He said, "No, its in there." "It's in there?!?!" really? I guess I just have to look around for it. I am not exaggerating when I say that there were two pieces of chicken breast that were smaller and skinnier than an iPhone. And I'm talking an iPhone 5. It was ridiculous. The bun overlapped the chicken by about an inch on all sides. The tomato basil soup was good though. I dipped my bun and lettuce in that and it almost made up for the joke sandwich.
