I went there once and they are very unfriendly people there they act like they are doing you a favor and when you ask questions they act like they are doing you a big favor alot of people have told me the same thing when they went there, and what you are gonna pay for a used gun there you can in alot of cases buy the same thing brand else where new so think how much a new gun is gonna cost there. If they think and people think the staff there is so very nice and friendly and helpful I hate to see what they think nasty is then. After all this said and most of the other reviews on here if i was the owner i sit my employees down and say hey why am i getting all these bad reviews?and or i be firing alot of people cause people are viewing these reviews and they won't come there and pass the word around about they're bad experience and cost them alot of new potiental customers, the owners need to think about that.

Cleland's is amazing. They have the best customer service. When you leave the building, you are not just a sale but a friend. You do not just leave happy with your purchase, you leave with knowledge. I bought a gun that had issues. It went back to the MFG twice. The next time, they said no just pick out a new gun. I saw a gun there that I had seen somewhere else at a better price. The matched the price and I still get the Cleland"s great service. Many times I go in just to ask questions. No intention to buy. I still am treated like the most important person in the shop. The classes they teach are also the best. I feel very comfortable with my guns,. shooting, reloading, etc...after attending Cleland's courses. I recommend Cleland's for every shooter or potential shooter. You are not just another sale to them.

Its an ok place. They have too many restrictions and are very expensive . i used to go there a lot and pay $20 an hr. But now i just go to Shooters and pay the yearly membership fee and shoot all i want Tuesday to Friday. Also they are very expensive and would not budge or price match. Rather they would say we have good service. Whats good service for once a gun is sold? I went in for a M&P 9 and they were quoting $579. Got the same one with extra magazine for $479 at Gander Mtn who pricematched Sportsmans Den in Shelby.

Customer service is horrid at best. I stopped going to the range, due to the very unfriendly staff and confrontational attitudes when asking questions.

This used to be the go to place to shoot and get weapons related items..Their customer service is TERRIBLE had me on hold on the phone for 20 mins, then just forgot me until someone else picked it up and asked what i wanted all over again. Had a few guns shipped there from another dealer...I knew FEDEX had dropped them off so I called to ask the turnaround time, once they said dont call us we will call you when gun is ready for pickup, the next time they denied having the gun and then stalled when I told them who had signed for it. They try to sell you guns you arent looking for and thats why I buy over the internet, to get the exact gun I want. You have a price range and they suggest way beyond that range. There is a handful of other complaints.....but the reality is I can ship my guns elsewhere and pay whoever the transfer fees, and not have to listen to attitudes or excuses when I call with gun questions. Damn shame I grew up with this places name in my gun world.....3 or 4 times of terrible customer service from 3 or 4 different people and Its time to move on...

The worst gun shop in the area. I've visited multiple times each occasion worst than the previous. On my last visit I had multiple products ready for checkout but after waiting 30 mins for someone to acknowledge the register I did some quick web surfing finding all my items at cheaper prices around the city; needless to say i left without buying anything. Having visited all local competitors, I can assure you of a better shopping experience at any location including big box stores such as Bass Pro or Cabela's. Customer Service-0. With the exception of the younger archery manager every employee acts as though it is a strenuous chore and a personal insult to help a customer. No smile, positive attitude, or thank you for patronage. Possibly the worst aspect is the vastly overpriced...well...everything, as i can deal with rude/stand-offish people for the right price. I am curious how even the smaller gun shops in the area can beat their prices. They refuse to do any kind of price match or discount whereas many stores in the surrounding area do but already have the same or similar products for cheaper. I normally buy most of my firearm and hunting supplies online so when I visit a store I expect a reason to come back whether it be a personal touch or products I can't find anywhere else. Cleland's has neither, if you must buy from them I suggest their online catalog to avoid the terrible employees and the terrible prices.

I was surprised to see some low reviews for Cleland's. We find that Cleland's is serious about safety, while encouraging the sport. We've found everyone to be perfectly pleasant and helpful. We have no affiliation with owners or employees of Cleland's or any of the other ranges we go to.

Looks like a great gun store. ITS NOT. I came here looking to buy a shotgun, (870 Express). I knew what caliber model color etc. everything about this gun I knew and was set on it. But when I grabbed one off the shelf to buy it the salesman decide to waste 10 minutes of my life trying to sell me a shotgun that was WAY out of my budget. I then (for what ever reason) was offered to take a basic shotgun course here with a friend. They basically told us the NRA gun safety rules and taught us about the different types of actions. NOTHING ELSE. When I went to BassPro a year later I bought another shotgun for my father and told them I wanted a 20ga. Without realizing it they gave me a 12ga, (because they too are incompitant...) and when I went to test fire it I loaded a 20ga. shell into the gun and attempted to fire it (didn't do anything). Long story short something they never taught us in the class was to check the caliber of the barrel. (Seems like common sense but it isn't to someone without proper education. This is why I found Dave's Code 3 Guns and Gear. This is my review of Dave's:*Dave's Guns is the best Gun store in the greater Toledo Area. The prices are low and the service is great.*I first came to Dave's looking for a Makarov (Russian military pistol from the Cold War) with my dad. The pistol was only $200! While that was only the wholesale price in the catalog, he only added $10 to barely make a profit. Above that he sold me 100 rounds at wholesale price to start me off. When the pistol came, it was packed in cosmoline and I knew it would take hours to clean. Dave first showed me how to take the pistol apart and then proceeded to show me the cleaning methods (this was my first pistol).A few months later I decided to take the CCW (Carrying a Concealed Weapon) course. Dave taught the class himself and was VERY informative. After covering the different types of guns and their functions, he covered safety, and proper shooting techniques. Then came range time! Dave had 2 .22 semi-auto pistols to train the class and allowed people with their own guns to use those. While my Makarov jammed, Dave allowed me to use his pistol and told me to come back when they where open next so he could help me with my problem. He proceeded to give me gunsmithing advice and told me to switch ammo because the brand wasnt that great.A very nice man, and a great business!I give Dave's guns a 100*(not a typo), 100*/10 Dave's range is a great value as well. It is a club range meaning no more Clelands gun range people who point it at you when doing various activities on the range, but it is also easy to get into. While more expensive the range is $50 to get a 1-year membership and $10 for a 1/2 hour on the range. HOWEVER THIS IS WHERE YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK! You a guaranteed a 1/2 hour but you may take as long as you want if nobody is waiting for a shooting lane. I HAVE ONLY SEEN SOMEONE SHOOTING THERE ONCE.
