Some of you may think I'm crazy, but I'm really serious about this. This is changing my life. And I was a flaming Atheist. Read to the end before you make any judgement please. Then please realize I still have the same knowledge you do. I'm simply embracing the things that have worked for me my entire life in a more pure, less adulterated and more uncontrolled way.

THIS FRIDAY! On Friday I'm back on Fox 13's The PLACE for my regular segment covering my favorite tech gadgets! I'll post more details here on how you can watch, but who has outdoor technology they want me to show off? If I really like your tech I'll share it on the show!

Let's all admit it! Technology is sexy! And there's no greater gift for a loved one (even your pets!) this Valentine's than the coolest tech gifts. I searched CES for some of my favorites and this is what I came up with for my segment this month on Fox 13's The PLACE!

Gotta sand down the imperfections and sometime fix the 3d rendering of the hat brim, but gotta say this is one of the coolest things I've 3D printed! Does it look like me?

Now to make a latex mold and create jello shots out of myself for parties 😉

Thomas S Monson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away yesterday. I admit while I have many fond memories from my childhood of seeing him in General Conference, my most poignant memory was when Michael Otterson, Managing Director over Public Affairs and Church Spokesperson at the time, told me that we couldn't get the top leaders of the Church on social media because Monson had dementia. It hit me like a brick that the LDS Church wasn't being led and hadn't for the last 7-10 years. It was a void of constant skunkworks projects and political battles among the 12 to try and do things without usurping Monson's "mantle". I think he was a good man at heart with good intentions, but I'm also very happy that he could finally get some relief - I wish the Church was more open about this to open up the conversation of relieving him of his duties to give him some peace.

True story: I know another former member who worked for the Church that tells stories of Monson having Rootbeer Float parties watching the movie, "What About Bob?" on Wednesdays with his staff. I also remember stories of him showing up at the Deseret Digital Media board Christmas parties, where he served on the board. Now his family will likely get his trust and the millions of dollars that come with that.

Perhaps my most fond memory of Monson was being responsible for posting on social media and being one of the photographers for the Joseph Smith Memorial Building 100th Anniversary, sharing photos for the event. I didn't get to meet him personally but it's perhaps the closest I was ever allowed to get to him, even working for the Church. You can see the photos from that event (all photos including the one below Copyright me so please ask permission to use) here: https://buff.ly/2E2aIhM
