This map looks like a pretty good reason to not get involved in Syria, What appears to be a straightforward freedom fighters vs. Oppressive regime battle is anything but. Horrors of the civil war to One side, Western military involvement could cause far too many problems down the line. Too many moving parts for my liking.

The one #map that shows why #Syria is so complicated

Yes +Pierre Johnson I am three weeks in, and the benefits gained in return for the time invested seems very worthwhile. Getting through two sets, six evenings a week. My plan is to work up to two sets in the morning and two in the evening, which is still only a half hour out of my day.

I was lucky enough today to have another opportunity to engage my slightly strange, personal obsession with the secretive world of private members clubs. Today's visit was  to the Bristol "Savages" club, an invite-only members club for gentlemen who work or are interested in the arts.

Their "Wigwam" is behind a very non-descript unmarked red door attached to the 16th Century Red Lodge, in-between Busy Park row and Colston street, Bristol. The Savages have met here once a week to sketch, drink and dine since 1909, and the whole set-up has a deliciously decadent and fairly non-pc feel to it (Which I like a lot) The Hall itself is a Barn-like space, with three amazing carved stone and wood fire surrounds, and the walls are adorned with antique weapons/stuffed animal heads/ and thousands of pieces of original artwork from the 20th century. "Brothers of the Brush" wear red feathers, "Entertainers and Raconteurs" wear Blue, with Lay members wearing green. They were more than a little unwelcome about me taking any photos, so i include a painting by Herbert Trueman of the "Wigwam" ripped from the internet. #Bristol #Artists #Privateclubs #secretspaces

Yes +Rob Boardman it blew me away, the swords on the far wall were used to put down the Bristol riots of 1831. I would have loved to spend more time poking around, but i think i had outstayed my welcome, and was politely ushered out :)

Beer drinking behemoth
Introduction
I work as a Sales Manager for a small independent brewery in the South west of the UK. Which means I get to spend my whole working day in pubs, and I can organise a piss up in a brewery.

When I'm not wandering around pubs, I Like to Paint/Draw/Read, watch movies, listen to music, and care for my profoundly autistic son.

I love all things Modern and Technological, even if I don't have the knowledge to understand them, I am incredibly curious, and like to fiddle with things usually until I break them.

I am Libertarian at heart, who believes all Adults should be free to live as their own will dictates within the boundaries of common sense and rational logic.

On the other hand.. I was raised to believe in old-fashioned manners, so I have little time for rude people.

All views are welcome here, but my life will be far too short to spend my time listening and replying to bores..And I  have been around the block long enough not to be surprised or shocked about what goes on in the lives of supposedly "normal" people.

I am open to all alternative ways of living and doing, as long as there is evidence that they work, and do no harm.
