who doesn't love meat on a stick? simple and fun place with a good menu at a good price. try the specials -- you may not have heard of them, but they are damn good.

I have a new favorite haven for my ramen cravings.. and it is called Robata Jinya! I used to drive to Daikokuya in downtown LA.. but now I can say goodbye to downtown traffic and the one-hour waits to get there because the ramen here is just as delicious. The atmosphere is really fun, the decor is sleek and modern, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. If you come here, I highly recommend the pork skewers! They are moist, flavorful, and will melt in your mouth. You will want to order another one. They have happy hour mon-fri from 4-7.. beer and wine only for now. Since they're new, they're still working on getting their liquor license. This is a great place to come to for dinner with friends. If I could, I would eat here everyday!

has quickly become our "go-to" neighborhood restaurant. excellent food that rivals the more popular and expensive japanese spots in town, and much easier to get a reservation. the tofu made tableside is definitely worth a try

great japanese find in an unassuming location. if you can't get into iza-kaya, come here and you won't be disappointed. tofu made tableside, robata skewers of everything imaginable, large tasty ramen that warms your belly.
