I have a new favorite haven for my ramen cravings.. and it is called Robata Jinya! I used to drive to Daikokuya in downtown LA.. but now I can say goodbye to downtown traffic and the one-hour waits to get there because the ramen here is just as delicious. The atmosphere is really fun, the decor is sleek and modern, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. If you come here, I highly recommend the pork skewers! They are moist, flavorful, and will melt in your mouth. You will want to order another one. They have happy hour mon-fri from 4-7.. beer and wine only for now. Since they're new, they're still working on getting their liquor license. This is a great place to come to for dinner with friends. If I could, I would eat here everyday!

Ended up here to catch a snack before a meeting. Happy hour was is a descent value $3 Sapporro / $2 for a generous skewer of tender pork belly -interesting weak citrus flavored sauce, which lacked flavor... they know, cause there is a teaspoon of weak dijon on the side / $5 spicy tuna crunch, the crunch was a thick starchy crust provided by frying the rice in soy and maybe sesame oil. The service was very good once i was able to put an order in, most of the staff stood with its back to me, which was puzzling since i was seated facing the front of house. They are very vocal about their clients... and a little intrusive with the plate clearing. In one word... weak. I went elsewhere after my meeting.
