On the day of the apocalypse I want to dance on clouds and watch Earth burst into flames.

Remember that super-expensive, super-boring photo that got auctioned off last year for $4.3 million? ("Rhein II" by Andreas Gursky - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhein_II)

Well, today's your lucky day. I'm offering one of mine for a G+anniversary special super bonus promotional offer. You can buy the picture below for just $2.22 million! Yes, what a bargain, right?

I call it "Trees XLII", and you know what? It even comes with free shipping! And the icing on the cake: If your check arrives by Monday, I'm even going to remove that ugly watermark. Leaves you speechless, eh?

What are you waiting for?!

(Do I have to wave my "sarcasm" sign for anybody?)

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.

Just stopping by to check whether Google+ has improved...
Have a colorful weekend!

I find it rather hilarious that people with a 0.0006 success rate for their Google+ posts want to charge attendees of the Google+ conference some 350 bucks in order to educate them how to be successful on Google+.
Let me save you some money: kiss Google's ass and you'll be successful on Google+. There, I just saved you 350 bucks. :-P

Alright, here's one just for fun. This was my entry for "Lace" in the March Photography Scavenger Hunt. I had too much wine, and the nerd in me took over... Happy Easter!

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

-- Robert Frost

Have a great weekend everyone!

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a springtime's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the nightly chills,
In colors on the not so snowy land.

(Sorry for the lyrics changes, Don McLean...)
I just wanted to test how much could be done in Photoshop, and as it turns out, the answer is: a lot. This image was actually shot yesterday in the afternoon (that's the sun right there) but I wanted to modify a few aspects, and then one thing led to another and.. well... now the image is as dark as it is outside.. :-)
Sleep tight, everyone!

There are still no cherry blossoms or anything like that over here, so this little spring awakening scene from the nearby forest will have to do. Enjoy your weekend!

I appears that I must give up my hopes for more snow this winter. Sigh
Whenever I tell people that I want more snow and cold and all that, I get weird reactions. But how can you not like the sight and smell of freshly fallen snow?
I guess you can call me Smilla...
