There ought'a be a law...all vacation cottages should come complete with a white staircase leading up to a loft. Is that too much to ask?
“The stairway to heaven just might be located in a vacation cottage in historic Key West. #stairwaytoheaven #heaven #vacation #cottage #historic #keywest…”

Wicker House, Worst freaking place ever! Found tons of other people's hair on pillow case, sheets, blankets, towels, no light in bathroom, dead bugs on the bed under sheet, oh and a drier fabric softener sheet. After pulling all linens off bed and asking housekeeping phase change she put another sheet over the first one and made the problem worst cause now there was more hair and haphazardly put the need back together, the room was warm and manager was rude to my cousin on his wedding day. NEVER STAY HERE!!! And this all happened in one day. Update: to be fair they provide a full refund and we found a nice place for 50$ more a night.

We had so many problems to include: cleanliness, housekeeping, broken iron, no pillowcase, broken light, mold in bathroom, no wifi. Spoke to the manager and he essentially told me that it was my fault that he wasnt notified of these problems. Maybe you should try checking out your own unit first. They gave me a twenty percent discount for all of the issues, but I would have been better off just leaving. Best advice: stay away.

The room was so small you could hardly turn around. There suppose to be two beds but only one with a roll out couch for myself age 62, my sister age 70 and niece age 52. I asked for a bathroom with easy access to the tub and it was a jetted tub raised up where you had to climb into at great risk. The bathroom title was dirty. The air conditioner was not cold. Twice in three days we had roaches. One night we lost power and they did not have a back up generator. Stay anywhere but there!

I was with my husband 3 days and 2 nights. Everything was perfect. The large and very comfortable room. Delicious breakfast, clean and warm pool at any time. The company of two beautiful cats. Definitely be back to Wicker House

Breakfast was 1 mile away, for 1 hour window, 830-930, not enough time to get to our boat tour. No soap or shampoo in room, painted over rotting wood windows. Free parking on Web site but when we arrived said park on street. Awful

the wicker house was very pleasing. when i arrived they were very helpful with directions and everything. the room we stayed in was very cute it had a mini kitchen with a little dining table, a nice bathroom, and very comfortable beds with good a/c. They also had a great private pool area. theres really nothing else i could ask for. i would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone. :)

We had several friends who stayed here in March, 2014. They were very pleased with the accommodations and the continental breakfast. We spent some time there with them and all were treated very courteously. Our friends would return there if they visit Kay West again.

When we stopped at a tourist info booth on our way to Key West, the agent asked if we'd prefer to stay in a name brand hotel on the outskirts of town, or if we'd like to stay in a historic building right in the historic district. Being adventurous, we chose the latter and were sent to The Wicker House. There is nothing wrong with this guest house, but be advised, it is right at Duval and Truman, a very, very busy place. Think Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It is also next door to a restaurant/bar that stays open, and busy, past 2AM. We didn't sleep well because of the bar. It wasn't rowdy, but it was still noisy. And people raced scooters and motorcycles up and down Duval. Then the garbage trucks came about 5AM. None of this is under the control of The Wicker House, but as I said, be sure it's what you're looking for.
