My new project is aimed at exposing media's obsession with the criminalization and victimization of Central American migrants.  Together with other mediamakers, we want to amplify stories that demonstrate migrants' organizing efforts to protect each other, to hold their governments accountable and developing systems for systemic change.  Please help me to shift the narrative.  Join me. Support this campaign. We only have 22 hours to meet our goal.  We are so close to the finish line.  $182 left to raise. Thank you!

Would you give $20 for that feature/fix/documentation you've always wanted in a module/theme/distribution? Would you help build the space where you can have that impact?

The truth matters. Any reasonably alert nine year old paying some attention to international politics can realize that, when it comes to governments, more often than not "both sides are wrong". For the few who refuse to realize this, the truth hurts; for the rest of us, the truth is essential to making the best choices individually and collectively. Thank you to those who care about truth.

Good news! The Syrian babies allegedly killed when power was cut off from a hospital in Hama are actually Egyptian and very likely alive.

Google+ is missing my preferred default behavior— share with everyone but don't push on anyone.

After adding a circle it has the further option to "send notifications", but my understanding is that this means e-mail notifications, and that anything i share to a circle or the public will pollute everyone's streams. This post is going to Public. Please comment with where and how you end up seeing it!

. . .and now it's at the top of my stream. Wonder if it's doing the same for your other followers, or if it's just me because I'm the one who commented?

This is very close to what my goal with People Who Give a Damn / Visions Unite ("the most power possible for all people over our own lives", which requires mass democratically-moderated communication and fantastic coordination tools), i hope +Garret John LoPorto can pull it off.

And a few decades after we reached this point, the realization of how ludicrous it is is becoming widespread.

working toward justice and liberty for all— the most power possible for all people over their own lives.
Introduction
At Agaric Design Collective I help make web sites for people who do things.  We use open source free software to give people and groups power over their online communication and web presence.  To help all people gain power over our own lives, which we need to make progress toward justice and liberty, I'm helping form a nonprofit organization called, and for, People Who Give a Damn.

In the meantime I get involved in more than I can handle, including minor support for Free Speech Radio NewsSeacoast Outright, Amazing Things Arts Center, and the Fund for Authentic Journalism.
