Customer Service was wonderful! They were very understanding of the situation that we were in regarding the recent wildfires and although we were just days away from our stay they fully refunded our money in full even when we only asked to reschedule the dates. They went above and beyond.

Just be sure to read the fine print. Rates posted do not reflect what you may actually have to pay. We did our initial booking online and the website gave us a TOTAL OF $1202.88 for 3 nights. We were then contacted by a Customer Service Representative and given a different amount that was $500 more. When I inquired why this information wasn't displayed at the time of booking, I was told that the extra fees were only posted in FAQ and that customers, "overlook this information all the time." Laughable. Well, for all those over-lookers, here is the pertinent information right up front: Why do I have to pay for extra guests? Our website lists the starting nightly rate which covers up to four (4) guests. We feel that two (2) people should not have to pay the same as a family of six. This rate scale is standard practice in the vacation rental industry. The additional guest fee covers the additional wear and tear on the cabin as well as supplies, utilities, laundry and cleaning. Children under one year of age stay free. Do you charge holiday rates and require minimum stays during holidays? During peak seasons or holidays, we require a three or four-night minimum. On certain holidays, we have a $50/night rate increase. The following schedule explains our current seasonal rate policies: Valentine’s Day: Three-night minimum with no rate increase if it falls on a weekend. Presidents’ Day: A three-night minimum with no rate increase. Memorial Day: A three-night minimum with no rate increase. Mid-June: A three-night minimum when staying over a weekend. July to Mid-August: A four-night minimum when staying over a weekend. Independence Day: A four-night minimum with no rate increase. Labor Day: A three-night minimum with no rate increase. October to Mid-November: A three-night minimum when staying over a weekend. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s: A $50 night increase per night.

This company is the one you want to stay away from if your considering using them as a management company to handle your property. They do not look after your property and will allow renters to destroy your property and never take responsibility and make the customer pay for it. As long as they get their money they don't care what it cost you to continually replace broken and stolen items from your property. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

We stayed in the Three Little Bears Cabin. It was well kept up and true to the pictures provided on line. The description about needing a 4 wheel drive or front wheel drive is no joke. The road getting to the cabin is pretty steep. Can't imagine going up there if it were raining or snowing! :) Although there would be worse places to get snowed in! :) The only thing that we could possibly have a negative complaint about is the master bedroom/loft space. During the summer it is just too hot. They need to put in window units up there. The rest of the house freezes trying to cool that space. We would go back again in a heartbeat if they fixed that one issue. The kitchen and the rest of the house was well stocked, we only had to bring ourselves, clothes and food!

We stayed at Meandering Moose in July 2016. The house was dirty in so many areas! The dishes were in the cabinets, yet dirty. There was a pasta spoon that still had cooked on pasta on it. The pots and pans were well beyond their life expectancy, and had caked on food on them. I had a very difficult time cooking, which is one of my favorite past times. The master bath was dirty. I spent 15 minutes cleaning it before I could use it. The arcade game buttons were not responsive, so we didn't play. The deadbolt to the patio did not work. The house just seemed like it needed someone who cared to do a proper walkthrough and make sure that it was up to par. I am a repeat customer to Escape to Blue Ridge. I had a wonderful experience staying at Nestled In 2 years ago. The staff was very nice, as they were this time. I would have been loyal for many years to come, and dealt with any imperfections that arose, except for what the staff did this trip. NOTHING! While everyone has always been very nice and responsive when booking and asking questions, they did not respond at all to 2 emails of mine(I know they went through), which lost me as a customer. Upon realizing that the pots and pans were past their life expectancy(I am a cook. I should know) and that they were covered with gunk, I emailed the staff at Escape to Blue Ridge to let them know that these pots and pans were not usable, and could they please purchase and deliver another set. If they wanted to say no(which I would find unreasonable considering how much we pay and what we expect), that would almost have been fine. Instead, they chose to ignore that email, as if to say "whatever!". Not only did I sent the email to a staff member at Escape to Blue Ridge that I had exchanged emails with many times, but to Reservations as well, and I know they were received. I also sent an email about the back patio deadbolt not working. They did not respond to this email either, but I know this was also received, as when we came home on day 2, the back deadbolt was locked. First of all, it is beyond unprofessional to not let us know that somebody would be entering our home, so that we could secure any jewelry, etc., but whomever you sent simply locked the deadbolt without fixing it. From that point on, we were never able to relock it again! So silly to lose repeat customers due to poor communication skills, when our requests were reasonable, and you had failed to adequately maintain the home. All you had to do was respond timely and rectify any situations that we pointed out.

To begin, when we were driving up the road to Blackberry lodge, since it's in the mountains, I totally accepted a twisty, windy road but the last 1/2 mile or so is a gravel, bumpy road & the road completely dead ends at this home. But I don't want to take away anything from this place at all. Its very clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, & very relaxing - we very much enjoyed it. Its not far from grocery stores, Walmart, auto parts store, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with just about everything you need for cooking, pitchers, crock pot, toaster, nice coffee pot, linens were on the beds & the beds were made, & they provided a towel & wash cloth for each person & we used the washer & drier there for fresh linens. I wanted to write a nice story in the visitors log but we were so busy that we never got around to it. Our extended family visited Blue Ridge, GA & we rented several cabins that were within walking distance of each other. While we were there we enjoyed the reunion of our family. We prepared meals & ate at least one meal together every day. Amazingly, there is a lot to do there: trails in the woods to explore, a horse shoe pit to enjoy, chopped wood is provided & we used the fire pit almost every night. The WiFi, pool table, air hockey, & Jacuzzi was awesome! We went white water rafting on the Ocoee River, tubing down the Toccoa River, visited a local orchard. Mercer's Orchard is a wonderful place to visit! They have fresh produce, jams & jellies, cider, hard cider tasting, bakery items, & their fried pies are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Blackberry Lodge is a wonderful home away from home.

My fiancé and I stayed in A Beary Nice View cabin and LOVED it. The cabin, the reservation and check in process, service and location were awesome. The view was nice. ANY cabin on Mountain Road In Morganton is excellent location. We think we will return.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Buckhead hideaway cabin. I told the representative exactly what I was looking for and she said she had the perfect cabin. I have shared my personal pictures and home videos with my friends and family so much that they are now looking into staying there as well. This was my first cabin experience but surely not my last. Stellar experience!
