CPR difficult? Put your hands together, centre of chest and push. Get rid of your fear and come on a course and learn for free.

Cardiac arrest does not discriminate, it can hit anyone at any time. Do you have a defibrillator? Does your school/workplace? Be prepared.

We have been out replacing pads on our defibrillators this week and training before that. Could you help support/sponsor a set of pads or a venue for training? https://www.justgiving.com/Heartstart-Thatcham

We teach “Emergency Life Support” skills. Yes the skills, which include CPR and defibrillators, may well save lives. What you are doing is supporting the life of the casualty until professional medical help arrives.

Live in the South Central area? Then why not download the South Central Ambulance Service app and learn where your defibrillators are - https://www.scas.nhs.uk/news/campaigns/savealife/

So 4 years ago we, Heartstart Thatcham, aimed to place 4 public access defibrillators around Thatcham. Well that didn’t go to plan as we have just placed number 59 and will pass 60 soon. They are placed all around West Berkshire and North Hampshire. See http://www.heartstartthatcham.info
