Whoa! Hi +Stephanie Lee ! I'm living in Portland now. I moved up here in 2010. That's probably why you haven't seen me much in Corvallis. For some reason, I haven't been on G+ much. How are you?

Edd Dumbill originally shared:

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Interesting
Paul Bailey originally shared:

according to this article the idea that all young people are "digital natives" doesn't hold that much water

"We found no evidence for any discontinuity in technology use around the age of 30 as would be predicted by the Net Generation and Digital Natives hypothesis," says the report. What the reseachers do find interesting and worthy of further study is the correlation – which is independent of age -- between attitudes to technology and approaches to studying. In short, students who more readily use technology for their studies are more likely than others to be deeply engaged with their work."

Ugh! I have +Google+ inflicted multiple personality disorder! I really only want one profile, but I've got two that I can't merge: +Jill Burrows and me. Now that I have a +Puppet Labs email address, I will have been fractured further if I choose to create a profile.

Some people are coming in and spending the night or actually considering staying long term in order to get to this class. I'm overwhelmed with the amazing response.

Personally, I drive an hour one way to teach the course. Others drive two hours one way.

I must say I understand there reasons, and yes the corruption in the gov. is rampant, but sadly we all know how effective it is to just sit around and wait for something to change. have they even stated exactly what they are waiting for? focus on a solution and the movement might get somewhere.

I agree with Banksy.
Tom Anderson originally shared:

"The thing I hate the most about advertising is that it attracts all the bright, creative and ambitious young people, leaving us mainly with the slow and self-obsessed to become our artists.. Modern art is a disaster area. Never in the field of human history has so much been used by so many to say so little." -- Banksy

Pretty cool advertisement in this image. Here's a link of 70 other intriguing ones: http://bit.ly/qIzN59 Do you agree with Banksy?

Introduction
I am very odd. One day I will one-up myself and get even.
I am an emergent phenomenon of the universe and merely a life changing speck in the nearly infinite cosmos. This is what you are, too. Only your place is different -- and due to chaos, you are something entirely different. What we have in common is that we are both examples of emergent properties of the universe, entropic epiphenomena. To me, that makes us very special!
