Basic Information
Poor customer service. Bad hotel experience overall. The AC broke in my room, which is unfortunate, but despite the engineers best attempts to resolve the issue, I spent the night in a room topping 90 degrees at one point. Since the hotel was "sold out" there wasn't anything that could be done as far as moving to another room. The front desk was utterly useless and not even empathetic to the issue. Instead, they passed me around from person to person all noting that they couldn't do anything until the front office manager, Matt Chauvin, was in on Monday. Even though I was promised a prompt phone call Monday morning by Matt, I never received one. I called relentlessly until finally Matt answered the guest services line. Best he can do is 50% off the room rate. Extremely disappointed in my stay and the lack of initiative and customer service by the Hotel Providence staff during the visit. I'll NEVER stay there again, nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone.
