Hi Neil, it's definitely a MALE. You can see his scent gland "bleeding through" on the outside of his wing. That can also be confirmed on the inside wings at the end...Great video!

Introduction
I always loved raising monarchs as a kid. In the past decade, I've embarked on a new butterfly garden journey. It's been my goal to create a beautiful flower garden that attracts more monarchs each year. In 2012, the drought brought our first 'down' year.

I'm hoping to get back on track in 2013 while also helping you bring home the magic of monarchs...
Bragging rights
We had over 100 monarchs fluttering through our yard at ONE TIME in 2011....I'm hoping to break that record in 2013!

    I took the core course for the Master Gardening Program in 2012. I'm constantly learning more about gardening through research and, of course, gardening.
