Love the Mac uploader app ("backup") but need to be able to specify/create albums prior to upload. Can we expect any 3rd party solutions?

So Google has rediscovered Google Reader Social.
Google has been trying to make Official Google Blog: Google Reader and Reader Mobile more "social" -- and more Twitter-like. You can "Like" items, you can "Share" with or without a Note ("followers" see the shared items), and...

Man...

I've actually ended up pretty happy with NewsBlur in terms of features (I pay for it but think it's worth it). But I miss the community.

It's a pale shadow of Google Reader Social, but they take my money and they give me value. I don't think there's a better option out there than Pinboard.
A few weeks after Google 2.0 killed Google Reader Social, I decided I'd take the Twitter route. My Twitter feed was active for about two months, but in time I gave up on Twitter (again). It didn&#...

I would probably use such as service. Google Docs accepts files but has too many limitations. A more open storage open by Google would therefore be great for everyone already active in the Google universe.

Questions - Desktop  -

I'd like to undo Drive/Photos integration and delete the 24GB of Google Drive images inside by Mac's Google Drive folder.

I don't know, however, how to do this safely. I've unchecked integration in both photos.google.com and drive.google.com, but of course the images remain.

Maybe it's safe to delete now, but maybe not. Scariest computer thing I've run into in years.

Google's Help Docs don't address undoing Drive/Photos integration.

Any advice?

If you're following me here -- > Consider app.net instead! I'm thinking of you +Matt Panaro :-)

$36 a year - or, if you want to test, $5 a month.

I like it.

My app.net stream:

If Google is feeling the need for some redemption, they could align themselves with app.net.
Alpha.app.net is an alpha: an early prototype and a test. It is not an operational service and may have bugs. Please be mindful of that. Looking for mobile apps or search? Check out the directory of 3...

If you ever followed me on Google Reader, the closest thing to my former share is this pinboard feed:

I'm liking Pinboard.in more as I use it -- much more than Twitter.

I've been considering creating a Facebook Page for John Gordon (sp. gordon's notes). You've just pushed me over that line. I'll annnounce via the blog.

Funny to have Facebook as a refuge from Google. FB Pages still have RSS feeds ...

Great coaches, excellent community. Wide range of options, wide range of abilities, excellent communication. Compared to other CrossFit I think we have a stronger focus on appropriate scaling; coaches are great at judging capabilities and balancing safety and encouragement.

I enjoy the facility, but it can be very difficult to get court time. I think they need to restrict membership or create a lottery for court time.

We were careful when we reserved to confirm the water park/pool was open. When we arrived we found the repair had moved up a week, the park was closed. That would have resulted in a very poor rating, except when I expressed our disappointment we got free breakfasts and a substantial rate reduction. That would produce a good rating - after all, these things happen. Except that reduction wasn't offered to my good natured wife. It was only offered after her geeky husband, who looks like the sort who'd post a review, requested the credit. So Best Western gets a fair rating. Other things they could improve: 1. The wireless is not iOS friendly; they have an awkward registration form that's a nuisance to revise. The best hotels have given up on passwords and the like. 2. They have an old fashioned phone voice mail system, until you activate there's an annoying blinking red light. Who uses Hotel phones any more?

I've been here many times. The only caution I can give is to double check bike assembly during rush times; I've seen a couple of goofs. Otherwise, perfect. If REI has what you want, no need to go elsewhere. The Navarro (store brand bikes) are a particularly good deal. Very good quality but not fashionable, so less expensive.

Wrote this on the wrong place! Can't see how to remove it so I'm just updating ratings to excellent until I can delete.
