Did you know that I have an E-course for people who have been diagnosed with foot neuropathy, or having feelings of unsteadiness when walking?

If this sounds like you or someone you love, please check out my E-Course, "Foot Therapy Program to Reduce Fall Risk" here: https://www.betterbalanceinlife.com/product/foot-therapy-online-course/

Our feet are the #1 most important sensory input that sends information to our brain to create our balance and stability while standing and walking.

"Panel members Sara Oxborough, PT and Ethan Hood, PT, DPT, MBA, NCS, GCS discuss the effects of aging on vestibular functioning. The panel members weigh in on common anatomical changes that occur in the vestibular system with age, the relationship between vestibular disorders and falls in older adults, and discuss examination and treatment of vestibular functioning in the elderly population."

Interesting article...

"Researchers at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) have found a method to differentiate types of vertigo stemming from possibly fatal brain diseases and other nonfatal causes.

Dizziness, although commonly experienced and overlooked, can be dangerous if it is a symptom of other more severe brain conditions. Vertigo also varies in type to encompass a spinning sensation to the feeling where one is about to faint, ultimately requiring a precise diagnosis from physicians."

I have long been preaching that anxiety and depression must be addressed as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for optimal outcomes in cases of dizziness and vertigo. This study confirms that people with anxiety and depression can benefit from Vestibular Therapy but the outcomes may not be as good as in patients free from these symptoms. That's why we look at the "whole patient" when using The Bell Method for these cases!

The good news is that the bladder is a hollow muscle and it's function is controlled by muscles, so bladder control responds to exercise!

My E-course, "Improve Bladder Control: Evidence-Based Bladder Retraining Program" can help! All you need is an internet connection.

"It was a normal day. I woke up to the sound of my alarm, reached an arm over to switch screeching off, swung my legs over the edge of my bed, and stood up.

Instead of stretching, the room spun, the floor seemed to shift, and I tumbled into my desk. Thankfully, the episode only lasted 20 seconds (and the only witness was my 1-year-old dog) but the embarrassment and panic were induced anyway.

What was wrong with me?"
