A wonderful restaurant in San Francisco, Bistro Central Parc offers great French cuisine and an authentic feel. The filet mignon topped with foie gras was AMAZING, but almost anything on the menu will delight. Not ideal for big groups, but perfect for 4. Tucked away in the NoPa area, parking can be kind of hard to find, so you might want to just walk to the restaurant.

Probably my favorite bar in Hayes Valley, Fig & Thistle is a great place to take a date if you want a small, intimate environment to have drinks and chat. The establishment looks like it used to be someone's living room and was converted into a bar. In the evenings, soft lighting helps to create the illusion of privacy despite the small space. There is very limited seating and not a lot of standing room, so my recommendation is to go with 1-2 people. They only serve beer and wine here, so if you're looking to get rowdy, you might want to check out another bar nearby.

Recently renovated and expanded, State Bird Provisions is a great place for a date or dinner in general. They do new American in dim sum fashion, simply point at what you want and shovel deliciousness into your face. My favorite is the sesame pancake topped with pickled anchovies (which they pickle themselves). Absolutely amazing. However, be warned, the cost of deliciousness can add up quickly, so be sure to really enjoy your food as everything is also quite rich. Oh, and also get the State Bird. You may feel bad for eating the gloried foal that represents our wonderful state, but it looks like mini fried chicken and is very tasty, so who cares.

Wonderful restaurant with a new take on Mexican street food. Located in the North Beach, this place gets plenty busy but is well worth the wait. Pretty much everything on the menu is delicious, but I recommend getting the Mexican sashimi. If you haven't already made a reservation (parties of 6 or more), stop what you're doing and make it now.

Do you like food trucks? Do you like delicious food trucks? Do you like them all to be located in one convenient place? WELL THIS IS FOR YOU! Every friday, the best food trucks in San Francisco create a a ring of deliciousness at Fort Mason. Imagine a wagon circle the likes of Oregon Trail, except no one has dysentery and you never run out of food. Eat to your heart's content with trucks like Koja Kitchen, The Chairman, and The Crème Brûlée Cart. Most of these trucks take card, but I recommend bringing cash as well. Additionally, there is live music, lots of seating, and a bar that serves beer and wine. Off the Grid at Fort Mason runs every Friday, 5-10p, Spring-Fall, rain or shine. No matter what, bring a solid jacket and maybe gloves and a scarf as the temperature can drop dramatically in that area of San Francisco - but its not anything a warm beverage and piping hot food can't take care of!

I found Dr. Walley through 1-800-DENTIST and have been very pleased with his work. If you're looking for a general dentist or one who specializes in cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Walley is your man. The guy is very friendly and his work is top notch! His office is clean, his assistants and hygienists are friendly and competent, and his workplace is stocked with all kinds of new tech that really takes away all the fear that dental work traditionally inspires. I will say, however, that they do push for you to get the Invisalign retainers quite frequently. Coincidentally, my old retainer broke soon after I started going to Dr. Walley and my insurance covered a set, so I gave them a try. Side note: they're pretty awesome.

From the same guys that own Rickhouse and Bourbon & Branch, this place follows suit when it comes to specialty cocktails and mixologists with beards and suspenders. Although there's no enforced dress code, the feel here is that it's bit of a swankier lounge. Not great for a huge party to sit down together, but if you're going to have a birthday party and people don't mind moving around a bit, this is definitely a good place to go. Occasionally, they'll have live music! A few tips: Get the 'Yellow Kid' - it's delicious. If you find yourself walking back and forth on the sidewalk wondering "WHERE IS THIS PLACE? ALL I SEE IS A T-MOBILE AND A LA BOULANGE!", take a deep breath, calm down, and look for a window that has a giant clock in it. The entrance is right there (next to the T-Mobile) and you'll need to go downstairs to get to the bar.
