Just had a really big scare. Been waiting two months to get this procedure approved and done and called today to check on statues only to hear it was Denied by our insurance and deemed "ineffective". After a crying pit of despair Orion talked to insurance themselves and they are all like, say what? We didn't say that. We're totally still deciding. Turns out they asked for more information earlier this week, got it, and are now reviewing it and will have a decision early next week. Called back doctor to tell them that and they don't know why they have a denied note but are happy for me that it's still being reviewed. Nothing better for chronic pain like an hour of extremely heighten stress and temporary loss of all hope. Course. Still COULD be denied.

So remember last week when I (well, Orion) paid the doctors $400 to stick giant needles into my neck? That was just the diagnostic, not the REAL procedure (going to be another $400+ for the real thing too, BLAH I wish I had a real job to help out more but oh wait I can't work a real job cause of the PAIN, thanks science!). After a couple days of feeling way better (headaches subsided, no shoulder spasms and therefore less stress on the actual injury in the back) all my pain came back with a vengeance. Turns out that was just to make sure that it was those nerves in the neck they needed to treat (the ones damaged by the accident). I have to still go back in to get the nerves burnt away. So they need to put in giant needles on fire basically. Which does make sense and seems smart, but first I have to wait over a week for my follow-up and then try to schedule that procedure and get it on a day I can get a ride. Because doctors are just big old teases. I would have been less upset if I hadn't gone into the first half of the procedure thinking that would be it. Anyway, I'm basically back to dealing with my pain crippling my actions everyday until they get me in. After I go in and recover from that, then I get back to full-time arting. But hey, I may not be up to full comicing yet but if anyone needs commissions I can totally get through the pain for them, so don't hesitate to hire me for something, lord knows I could use the money (thank god for Ebay at least).

I survived the Medial Branch Nerve Block. It was pretty intense, never been in a operating room before, like a real one. Anyway, I'll report more later I am recovering from having a huge needle in the neck still, can really wear you out.

Only a fraction of some of my recent sketches, but some of of the better ones that I haven't posted yet. EE and UF related. Just to show you what my current stuff is looking like/prove I can still draw!

Wasn't completely satisfied with the first picture I did to use for eecomics hub-site, so I am making a new one.

Oh Internet, you can find penises in anything. I had to do a revised submission of my Woot Derby entry last minute because of some poor hand placement in the image. For those of you with Woot account kinds enough to vote the first time would appreciate the re-vote on new submission. Voting ends tomorrow. I know I won't win this late either way, but they have rights to the image for 60 days anyway.

I'll update about the whole procedure thing in a bit (turns out I am only half done, giant needles in neck was only the diagnostic, they still need to BURN the nerves dead). For now, look, I totally got EE glasses!

On Monday, March 25th I'll be taken in for the first part of a procedure that will help me a out ALOT if it works/doesn't kill me. It's these hardcore nerve numbing injections in the neck sort of things. A safer alternative to surgery, and a bit less spendy though still spendy. You guys are going to see such Kickstarters for the comics in the near future cause I'll need the help to get back on my feet. I'll let you know how it all goes, assuming it goes well.

Been some rough times lately but getting better. Suffered the loss of a beloved cat, and found out that the MRI I took two years ago did show neck damage and the doctors didn't mention it until now. Have a procedure planned to help with headaches and neck pain. On a new med for my back itself. No one is still sure what the thing in my back is. Still in pain everyday, really annoyed with the medical people sometimes. Anywoot. Site progress, Commissions page done. Finally. NOW FOR EVERYTHING ELSE!
