Some love on my blog today for my favorite Disney heroines who don't wear crowns
The above artwork came across my Tumblr feed this week and I immediately re-blogged. It reminded me of the awesome ladies of Disney who often (re: usually) get overshadowed by their sisters who wea...

Well not my all time favorite Austen inspired work, still exciting to see what they'd do with it in a film adaptation!
Portlandia’s Carrie Brownstein will take over the project about a young woman who gets stuck in the plot of Pride and Prejudice.

Definitely a dish to make when sharing rather than planning on a week worth of leftovers!
I am alive! I'm afraid between Thanksgiving, Christmas and getting stuck up north in this epic winter for longer than planned alongside a pretty big project going down at work, this blog was pushed off to the side. However, i...

Time to Move to a new Blog Home
I first started blogging in 2005 here as a way to record my study abroad experience. Those posts aren't even here anymore to move! But the rest of my blog archive and myself are relocating over to a WordPress blog. I use that platform a lot for work and I'v...

Fascinating! As a librarian, people often don't know what exactly they are trying to ask and as technology evolves, that becomes problematic. We have to become better askers in the future!

While this does look awesome, it also doesn't look that comfy...

Possibly favorite version EVER! Idina tends to oversing when she's in the major spotlight so here where she's relaxed and having fun? Girl OWNS it!

It may look like a hole in the wall but the place has excellent Mexican dishes. The nachos are more than a meal - I had beef nachos covered in cheese that could easily have fed a table full!

I liked the low-key atmosphere here - I had the chicken enchiladas which were delicious! The portion was also perfect - not too over the top but just enough to fill me up for the rest of the day.

Another one of my favorite places in Dickinson to have lunch or grab dinner on the way out of the Community Center. Also, great place to get a sandwich and read for a bit if you just need some downtime. The atmosphere is low key and the fireplace is a great place to curl up in front of during the winter.

New in town, this name caught my eye as a place to try. We went early on a week night and had no trouble with service at all - the waitress was very attentive and answered questions we had about the menu very knowledgeably. They were out of the slider buns so they just made me a regular fish sandwich was was fine. Both dinners were served promptly with all the right sides. The atmosphere was fairly quiet but it was more of a bar-type place that had tables that a restaurant in the true sense of the word. I could see when the students are around or later at night that the place might have a very different vibe.

One of my favorite places in Dickinson. Love the atmosphere for meetings or just taking a book and reading for a few hours. Try a London Fog - so good!
