By far the best casual restaurant in Las Vegas Stopped by yesterday for lunch was sad to see the beef tartar was not on menu they could not make for us that day Eric Klein the exec chief said come back tomorrow and he would make special for us We are here today and it's here and ready for us when we arrived. And it was amazing Hands down excellent customer service above and beyond what anyone could expect We have always been on going customers of spago but now NEVER will I not stop by for a meal

They offered a 'Retro' menu this week with special pricing. We were excited to try a few dishes. We were seated in the bar area and the server made it out to be a 'big deal' to get the retro menu served in this area (even though it's only a few steps from the dining room). And when we got our bill we were charged full prices as special pricing was only available in the main dining room. Terrible way to treat locals (or anyone for that matter).

Not quite as good as I'd hoped but still pretty good. Better places are around here for the price.

Had a lovely dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. We all enjoyed our meals. The strawberry dessert was beyond amazing. That said - my sister-in-law (her birthday) chose Spago and was looking forward to the veal schnitzel and was disappointed that it is no longer on the menu.

On April 12, 2015, my wife, sister and brother-in-law went to Spago for lunch around 2:00 pm. We had a good meal, paid with cards and left. Upon returning home my wife’s habit is to go on-line and check our accounts. She noticed $700 purchases at Best Buy in Chicago had been charged to our account. We called the bank and they reversed the charges (and air miles :() and arranged to have new cards sent to us. We called my sister to tell her to watch her account. A few days later they noticed charges in Maine appearing on their card. We had used a charge card, they had used a debit card. The connection to this review is that the only place they had used their debit card was at Spago. I called Spago and was told that the managers were in a meeting and would return my call in 15 minutes. Two hours later I re-called and got to speak to a manager. The manager was terrific on the phone. He communicated sincerity and concern. I was able to tell him the time, date and section we ate in. He promised to investigate and get back to me promptly. That conversation was over a week ago. I have heard nothing since. The lesson I learned when in a place that does not have security chip capabilities, is to never let the card out of my sight. I know it is a first world problem, but the inconvenience of changing cards is a pain!

We ate here in November 2014. I had the pork loin and my wife had the gnocchi with mushrooms. The food was OK and the service was acceptable, but the value and atmosphere were terrible. The food was on the expensive side for moderate quality. Perhaps I am used to the excellent food in the SF Bay Area. The pork was not cooked well -- over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The pasta was good, but be portion was ridiculously small. We had two glasses of wine each (small pours for $10 glasses, especially when it is a $10 bottle of wine). The restaurant is in a shopping mall, which provides interesting people watching, but also means you're eating in a shopping mall. Not my idea of great atmosphere. Overall just OK.

At lunch time I visited Spago, and following the recommendation by their knowledgable bartender of an item not listed on the menu "Meatloaf wrapped with pancetta". This gotta be the best meatloaf I've ever had. Really looking forward to tasting their dinner menu.

Fun for people-watching, amazing breads and olive oil, wild mushroom bisque highly recommended.
