Amazing Grass proudly supports the Uganda Marathon participants with the Raw Reserve Green Superfood. Being part of the UGM goodie bag, which is full of amazingly energy-boosting and nutritious (super)foods, we at Amazing Grass UK hope that we can contribute to the participants' successful marathon training.

Judging by the happy faces of Aduna and Ian, two of the many participants who signed up for the UGM, we think that the sportsmen and -women will enjoy our goodie. Good luck for your big day on 24 May 2015!

What's your favourite Amazing Grass #superfood to keep you running and stay fit?

Our wheatgrass has a high alkalinity which helps balance acidic PH levels so it's super to have after a tough workout - especially yoga!
Did you know that yoga also improves your overall balance? This is because regularly practising yoga increases proprioception (the ability to feel what your body is doing and where it is in space). People with bad posture or dysfunctional movement patterns usually have poor proprioception, which has been linked to knee problems and back pain. Better balance could mean fewer falls as well.

Our wheatgrass is great after a session of yoga!
One amazing benefit of yoga is that it drains your lymphs and boosts immunity.
When you contract and stretch muscles, move organs around, and come in and out of yoga postures, you increase the drainage of lymph (a viscous fluid rich in immune cells). This helps the lymphatic system fight infection, destroy cancerous cells, and dispose of the toxic waste products of cellular functioning.

Shockingly, studies have found that over 90% of us fall short of getting our 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day. Therefore, to make it easier for all of you leading hectic lifestyles, we suggest that you have one serving of wheatgrass a day.

Probiotic Foods May Just Boost Your Mood
''You know that probiotics can help balance your gut bacteria, but did you know that probiotic foods can also help fight depression and reduce stress? Andrea at our sister site Vibrant Wellness Journal recently wrote a great piece on the health benefits of miso, a fermented food. She mentions sort of in passing that miso helps boost your mood, and that really caught my eye. What is it about miso that’s mood-boosting? I wanted to check out the science. And there is science to back up that claim! Preliminary research from University College Cork in Ireland found that probiotic foods can help fight depression and stress.'' http://ow.ly/GOuxV

8 Shocking Facts About GMOs
Finding food that has not been genetically modified can be tricky. Unfortunately, the companies that produce GMOs have sold the public a box of rocks with the notion that GMOs are the answer to nature’s mistakes, namely pests, disease, and the natural spoiling process. Despite the aggressive approach exerted by large corporate agricultural bodies, research continues to mount against GMO crops. http://ow.ly/GOtId
