Hi, Everyone.  Thanks so much for sharing your stories with us.  The contest has now closed, and the winners are featured in a new post (above).  Congratulations to DesertSky, Bonnie Dewald, and Mary Fredricks!

Just a quick note to let you know if you sent me an email with your comment, we'll certainly include you in the drawing.  Sorry, Google is behaving badly, and not letting some sign in or post comments.  And, Firefox/Internet explorer are also acting odd... they are not letting me cut & paste your email replies into this post field.

Anyway, I want to reassure everyone that an email to dakotacabinquilts@ndsupernet.com(or via the Contact DCQ by email box on the left column of this blog) is an alternative if you can't post a comment easily.

Thanks, everyone, for your lovely comments.  You make my world a better place!  ~ Laura

Bonnie writes, Quilting is important to me because it gives me self esteem to be able to see that I can create something.  It gives me confidence to try new things and it has also helped me with stress! It is the best stress reliever in the world!  I have a mom who has dementia, and I'm sure there are many others who also go through things like this as well but it has been super difficult for me and sewing relieves my stress so much I can live a normal life despite the pressures of home and work!  Thanks for the fun newsletters!  ~ Bonnie

I'm posting a couple of responses I received via private email.  Thanks, Susan & Val...

What I love about quilting is the impact my hobby can have on the world
around me. When I am in my sewing room the time is all about me, however
the quilt is always about someone else, whether it is a wounded soldier, a
child in need, a friend who is special to me.  I love being able to support
my quilt shops, whether in my local community or the online community (I
feel like you are my neighbors -- I keep watching Matthew and Sox grow!)
Thank you!

Regards,
Susan

I love to give my quilts away.  That is my favorite part of quilting.  I
have yet to have someone say, "oh, I already have one of those!"  The look
is usually one of awe that someone would spend all that time on them.
Worth the time it takes to create and hand quilt the quilt.

Regards,
Val

Thanks, Brenda.  I forgot about the Schnibbles Times Two book, which we actually have in stock, here...http://www.dakotacabinquilts.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?&product=mmissrosiepattern&productid=schnibblestimestwo&keywords1=schnibbles&sales=0&lastmenu=

I didn't know about "Another Bite of Schnibbles"... but will order it and see if by chance the Tuffets are in there. Thanks again!
