The food and service was great last night. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was incredibly mouth watering. And we also got the chicken strip basket. They give pickles that are very very good. The seasoning is one of a kind. We also stop by the pastries, I don't know the names of any but they are flaky and delicious. I always get the little squares with a bunch of chocolate chips on it. Delicious.

Such a fun place to have lunch. Do you know many restaurants where you can enjoy one of the best pastramis on the planet while watching super cool Guns & Roses b&w vintage photographs on the wall? The crowd is cool too, like a cool blend of all ages, backgrounds and religions. If you like pastrami and if it's your first time there, I would recommend the Brooklyn pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and a side of potato salad. Add a bottle of Dr. Brown's cream soda and you'll feel like you're on top of the world for the rest of your day! There's a parking lot on the left side of the restaurant that's free for customers (don't forget to get your ticket validated on your way out once you're done with your meal though!).

Had a pastrami reuben sandwich for lunch. Bought a strawberry cheesecake on our way out and had some for dessert when we got home. Food and service was excellent.

Another LA classic. Had the Fairfax: soft rye piled high with corned beef and pastrami. Had a taste of the corned beef and cabbage and a French dip. All great in a dining room right out of the '60's. Is there better food? Maybe. Is Canter's the whole package? Definitely!

Can't leave without saying hi to Rodney Bingenheimer. Sit by the stairs. You might sit in Rodney's seat or you might see 🎸Anthony Kiedis walk by to take a piss. Great Food. 🀄Friendly Staff. Good Dessert

I got the pastrami, wife got the corned beef. It's no Katz's believe me but a damn good sandwich, pickles were outstanding! And definitely get cookies from the bakery, they were exceptional!

A good deli and a staple in L.A.. As you would expect a large portion of meat on their sandwiches. It seemed to me they use to take more care in trimming the fat of some.of their sandwiches. Still I say to give it a taste.
