I have eaten here before and enjoyed the food, but I was disappointed with the service and the food, on Saturday 8/16/14. The only thing well seasoned was the chicken (I also had collards and yams). The food was disappointing, I will not eat here again.

I always get the fried chicken, mac n cheese, collard greens and yams when I come here. This is what you call real soul food. They will produce a party in your mouth lol. Service is pretty fast.

Was looking forward to a meal in my neighborhood courtesy of Groupon. The food was almost inedible--slop on a plate. I don't know how this place has stayed in business given its lousy food and terrible service. How does it have 3.8 star rating. I give it half a star at best.

Food is just not good. The fried fish and chicken were too greasy. Went with a large party around Christmas 2012 and the next day some were not feeling good. Will not be going back!

I will go ahead and give this place top ratings!! Each time I went to this location I was pleased with the service, wait, and atmosphere. The staff is very courteous and very nice company just to kick the breeze with. Each time I visited the crowd was cool, generally not too crowded, and thank god not rowdy... especially for the area, very clean and very relaxed. The food (finally) is top notch soul food, each dish I have had (about 3-4 different dishes) has been 10/10. Finally - they have some decent wine(s) for those hot days =) I give them top ratings!!

Soul food yes to this place. Banana pudding was pretty good, but I loved the jerk chicken and the collard greens. Orders come with corn bread so don't forget to ask if you're getting it to go, because they just might forget.

I went here once and I liked it, I was the only person in the restaurant so I couldn't complain about the service. The food was good and priced reasonably I thought the atmosphere was cool it felt like I was home and mom was cooking for me. I returned another time with my kid and wanted to eat there, it was booked for a party at 6pm and we were threre at 4pm why couldn't we eat then wtf. If you're going to book a party PUT A SIGN UP ON THE DOOR OR IN FRONT OF THE STORE!!!!!!
