North Korean trackball mouse.  I used to have one of these and wasn't too crazy about it.  But maybe it's just right for targeting weapons? #NorthKorea   #HistoryOfTheMouse   #WeaponsComputing

At DAA we are getting ready to redesign http://dukemagazine.duke.edu/ so this is a good and timely read.
Atlantic digital revenue exceeds print!

One of my favorite magazine's (which I still read on paper) just reached a surprising milestone: Its digital publishing business earned 51% of the company's revenues for October.

The Atlantic has been around for 154 years as a print publication. And in recent years, like so many other magazines, the book has gotten thin. Meanwhile, the digital offerings have been expanding: TheAtlantic.com (3.6 million monthly visitors) and news aggregation site The Atlantic Wire (1.3 monthly visitors) have been churning out excellent copy, and raking in the dough.

Is this the beginning of the end for print?

Watching the outpouring of reactions on twitter about the #TroyDavis execution (20 new tweets every 15 seconds) I'm realizing once again that Google+ won't be able to supplant twitter anytime soon for direct, immediate communication around events and news trending in the moment. http://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23TroyDavis

I see a similarity to the first person that ate a puffer fish, with the exception that (I hope) only vegetables were killed on the first try.
Sometimes I feel like I've got so much going on that it all starts to tumble in on itself. Ack! I'm not the greatest organizer of It All... and often wonder how in the heck to have all the pieces play nice without any of them getting lost, crushed, dismembered or just plain forgotten in the process. This video is now my "mental movie flashcard"; a lovely visual reminder to just pay attention, breathe and go with the flow. It'll all work out.
I'll take Inspiration wherever I can find it!

"take that, Facebook." Well, almost: I don't see gmail mail in the list of services available to export.
Gerade entdeckt: Google Takout. Alle Daten von Google runterladen.
Kostet nichts und für manche bestimmt sinnvoll:
