A new version of oplop.appspot.com has been pushed. If for some reason you have issues under Chrome, try clearing out the app cache by visiting chrome://appcache-internals/ and removing the entry for oplop.appspot.com.

It would be nice to move https://oplop.appspot.com over to service workers from HTML5 app cache, but the support isn't as widespread for service workers as app caches (yet).

This poll is to find out if people have actually used the web app offline and if it would impact them if the switch was made.

The Android app for Oplop has now been officially deprecated in favour of https://oplop.appspot.com since -- just like the Chrome app -- Chrome 43 allows the website to operate the same as the Android app.

A manifest.json file has also been added to oplop.appspot.com so that if you add it to your homescreen you will get a nice icon and have it launch as a standalone app and not as another page in Chrome.

The Chrome app for Oplop has been officially deprecated and will be removed on August 1, 2015. As of Chrome 43 https://oplop.appspot.com has the exact same level of feature support and thus there is no reason to have to maintain two different copies of the same app.

https://oplop.appspot.com now has clipboard support under Chrome 43!

This means I plan on deprecating the Chrome app since it is now officially redundant. And once I have Chrome 43 on Android and can verify it also works there I will also deprecate the Android app and make https://oplop.appspot.com the single implementation based on HTML/JavaScript.

If you get an infinite spinning loading icon for the Chrome app under Chrome 43, I am aware of the problem and will have a look later today. Until that's fixed, though, you can always use https://oplop.appspot.com/ .

Oplop is now available on Android!

Thanks to the Chrome Apps for Mobile project -- https://github.com/MobileChromeApps/mobile-chrome-apps -- I was able to take the Chrome app for Oplop and package it up for Android. This means the app works exactly the same, including copying to the clipboard.

A new version of Oplop for Chrome has been uploaded which updates it to a new Chrome app. This will cause Oplop to run in its own window, have an app icon when launched, etc. The user experience has been slightly tweaked (nothing drastic).

A very minor update was just pushed for Oplop which changes the font to a monospace one (specifically Source Code Pro). That will eliminate any issues where 1,I, or l can be confused for one another (thats one, capital I, or lowercase L, respectively).
