It's a wonderful place for buying parts for a DIY PC Build. The staff is supportive, and helped me out with a few issues I had building it. It's a wonderful alternative to eBay, Newegg, and Amazon.

To everyone who disses Microcenter, please let me know where else you can go and actually see the parts? Tigerdirect sucka, Fry's is not really computer/electronics store, and microcenter is the only and best (9/10) store in the area..

I love this place. I recently took in my computers there for servicing. I was having some issues with getting my old wireless router to work and Lamont from the technical service department took time to explain to me how to address this problem in the most economical, easy and best way. I spoke to Lamont two times on the phone regarding the wireless issue and about my computers and I was completely taken aback at how helpful Lamont was in explaining what I needed to do to address some computer issues. He explained everything in a very thoughtful and insightful manner and I am very grateful for his expertise and absolutely wonderful customer service. Very satisfied customer!

They've had everything I've needed in stock for my PC build. Great prices and knowledgeable staff. I wish there was one closer to Schaumburg so I wouldn't have to drive so far. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place!

Used an in-store pickup option. One of the items ordered with the in-store pickup was motherboard. According to the website, there was supposed to be one in stock. Received an email that it was no longer available. While in the store, I decided to pick a different motherboard. I looked at the Microcenter website to filter down the results. I picked a motherboard. Again, there were supposed to be two in stock in the store, but there were none. I checked with a sales associate to make sure. It's hard to trust these "x in the store" numbers. I finally picked an open-box motherboard. I wanted to make sure that the motherboard will support the processor that I purchased. Since I only had a phone with me, which isn't very convenient for searching through web pages, I decided to ask a sales associate. I was assured that it will work. When I opened the motherboard at home, it had a number of stand-off screws still stuck to it. I had to use pliers in order to take those off. The motherboard had an inspection card with it and everything was checked off. The motherboard wouldn't boot with the purchased CPU, event though the sales associate assured me that it will. The motherboard's BIOS had to be updated. Luckily, the motherboard had a no-POST flash feature so I was able to save the day. Overall, not a very pleasant experience.

I ordered for in store pickup for an a-10 7850K with asus mAtx motherboard, a Thermaltake computer case (refurbished), and also a Neutron 550W psu, and am very satisfied. They say your order will be ready within 18 minutes after the order is placed and they certainly delivered. Fast and easy! Unfortunately my psu was faulty (NOT MicroCenters fault), and had to go back to the store to replace it. Replacing the item was also very quick and easy: went up to the counter, told them the problem, they said "no problem" and checked that all the wires were there and was replaced immediately! Will definitely come back for all my computer needs. Great employees and customer service. I forgot to mention the incredible prices! p.s. They even offer to do your rebate for you at the counter if you have one! Talk about customer service! *Definitely recommend ++
