How Twitter wants you to visit every day, how TMZ is evolving, and why Tinder isn't just a dating site. #codecon
One thing I can always count on at the Code Conference is Mary Meeker's annual report on the state of the Internet, and a number of CEOs of various Internet companies talking about where companies are going.

No doubt about it: machine learning is the topic of the year. #oodecon
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning were the big themes at last week's Code Conference, just like most of the similar conferences I've attended this year. It's a topic on everyone's mind, driven by huge advances in hardware.

Elon Musk's interviews are always entertaining. At #codecon he went from cars to space to living in a simulation.
In a far-ranging conversation at the Code Conference, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk discussed his view on self-driving cars, sending spaceships to Mars, and why he thinks we're probably living in a simulation.

Lots to like on the #LGG5 - wide angle camera, replaceable battery, etc.  But the AT&T model isn't for me.

Hard to be completely sympathetic to either Gawker or Peter Thiel. But trying to see both sides #codecon
This isn't really a technology story, but from a media point of view, I found the conversation quite interesting.

I continue to be impressed by the thoughtful approach to philanthropy by the Gates foundation and others #codecon
One of the things that I liked best about the Code Conference this year was the number of speakers who have essentially optimistic views of the future, and are working on some of the big challenges facing people, or towards the big goals for humanity. Some of the most hopeful comments came from Bill and Melinda Gates.

Thoughts on Echo, Facebook Messenger and NYC startups at #techcrunchdisrupt
At TechCrunch Disrupt, I was particularly interested to hear representatives from Amazon talk about building the Echo, Facebook talk about building Messenger, and Google talk about where advertising is going.

My favorite products from #techcrunchdisrupt include easier logins, better home security, and a heads up display.
Earlier this month I attended the New York version of the TechCrunch Disrupt conference. Only a few of the products stood out as real disruptors, but a number of these were interesting.

What you can do with a mobile web page is pretty amazing.  Do we still need apps for most things?  #io16
