EUV technology is getting closer, heralding chip making beyond 10nm.
Equipment manufacturer ASML announced that it had reached an agreement to sell a minimum of 15 new EUV lithography tools to an unnamed customer in the U.S., almost certainly Intel.

It's not a consumer device, but for an industrial tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active is quite nice.
Lately, I've been traveling with a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, a very interesting variation on the tablet concept.

Put licensed and unlicensed spectrum together, add dense cells, and mmWave technology and you get close to 5G. #mwc15
Despite lots of 5G action at MWC, the specification is a long way off.

Why the midrange models are the best value in smartphones #mwc15
When I think of the phones that really impressed me at Mobile World Congress this year, what stands out the most are the "super mid-range" or "premium" phones.

I love the concept of net neutrality, but worry about unintended consequences
As much as I back the concept of net neutrality, I worry that we really don't know where these changes will lead to.

I'm just amazed by how much you can fit in a small space: 1536 Xeon cores in a rack; 500 TB of storage in 3U?

Should have posted this here earlier but:  My take on the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, and G Flex 2 #mwc15
At Mobile World Congress this week, I've had the chance to spend a little time the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, the HTC One M9, and the LG G Flex 2 – the three currently phones vying to be the top of the Android phone market.

#AMD 's #Carrizo should be a good step forward, but is it enough?
It's an interesting chip, which takes the same basic concepts as the earlier Kaveri chip and uses the same 28nm process, but adds in a number of advances particularly aimed at making the chip more energy-efficient, and thus better suited for lower-power devices.
