A brewhouse and restaurant where the server doesn't know what chilli flakes are. Give me a break! We went there on a Friday evening after BottleRock Napa Valley. We waited about 5 mins and were seated. The server seemed to be new because we asked for veg and he didn't understand what we wanted. We ordered corn fritters but we wanted veg aioli with it. We got the fritters and didn't get aioli for another 5 mins. For main course we ordered Pizza but after it was served we wanted chilli flakes and asked the server for it but he asked a couple of time and then we had to tell him that we wanted red peppers and then he could understand. Pizza was a bit dry too but we frankly weren't expecting a world class pizza at BJ's. Tip: They dont take reservations but they do take the name over the phone. (Beats me how their system works.)

The atmosphere is fairly similar to any other mid-range casual dining establishment but with more emphasis on sports. There are multiple TVs displaying sports games so that is a bonus if you want that, but I found it to be more distracting. The service was fairly good, though a little slow at some points. There seemed to only be one till and a crowd of servers around it, so that might be the cause for the delays. Everyone seemed to be upbeat and kept our glasses filled. The food was nothing special, which caused me the most disappointment since most entrees were $12 or more. I personally had the Moroccan salmon with couscous that had a sauce that reminded me of Chef Boyardee, but I did enjoy it. Other members of my group had fish and chips which was flaky but lacking in flavor and a decent looking chicken sandwich. At $8 dollars these choices might have been acceptable, but not for the price they were charging. Overall, there are better places nearby to eat if you're in the mood for dinner with the family that will taste better and won't break the bank.

BJ's has very good food, a wide variety of choices, great beer, and good service. It can get a little loud in the evening with the amount of people in the restaurant, and the TV's can get a little distracting (there's just a lot of them), but overall it's a nice experience!
