Today is Orange and Maroon Legislative Day, when The Association of Former Students and the Texas Exes visit the state Capitol to increase public and legislative support for A&M, UT and higher education in Texas.

The University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University educate 20% of Texas’ public university students. But state funding hasn’t kept pace with increasing costs. Watch our @AggieNetwork and @Good_Bull Twitter accounts today, and the hashtag #OMLD15, for updates as we visit your legislators in person to talk about restoring cuts made to base formula funding, investing in biosafety and natural sciences, and continued support for research to ensure that both UT and A&M remain competitive with their peers across the country.

You can read more specifics and FAQs at http://omld.AggieNetwork.com/ Orange & Maroon: Together for Texans!
