I, being the gamer that I am, personally love the prospect of trying a game before buying it, so I can an accurate verdict of a video game before I purchase. This is what makes Play N Trade stand out above the other place like Gamestop. Add to it that they can match the prices, have a great selection of games (even the older consoles, like the SNES or the N64!), and can do weekly tournaments and also birthday parties, I can find no better place to get the games I need! Easily the best video games store in San Diego!

This place is Amazing!!!! Play N Trade Video Games is a great place for gamers and parents alike. You can test out the video games before you buy, as well. The trade in credit and cash value is WAY better than Gamestop. This store is what all video game stores will look like in the future. They even fix consoles, ipads and have tournaments! Great place overall

It was Sunday morning... after my father and I left Gam3rCon 2012, we cam across an advertisement in the Gam3rCon 2012 brochure for Play N Trade San Diego. When we walked in, looking for PlayStation Vita games, I could not believe my eyes... there were retro games, modern games, and a "Try Before You Buy" station, where one can try out ANY game (including Nintendo Entertainment System, SEGA Genesis, and Super Nintendo) for free, while playing on the actual system with the original game controllers!

This is like the best video game place I have ever been to mostly because you can try out all the games before you buy and can receive a membership for 10 bucks a month! They also have tournaments, snacks, and birthday party celebrations + all that cool stuff. The service is great and their prices beat like every video game store ever existent to man. :D You all should stop by and enjoy the games.

I went to play N trade to to have my XBOX360 kinnect ac adapter checked out and hopefully get a new one. I went in and they instantly told us if we needed and help. I told them that it wasn't working anymore and they took a look at it. My brother told them it was already making some weird noise when we got it. the guy checked it out and he told us okay. We got a new one out of the box without any waiting or anything. The guys just gave it to us. He didn't even asked for anything no I.D. nothing. He told us it wasn't our fault that it is just sensitive and to have a good night. these guys were awesome. they asked if we wanted to sign up and i said yes. You guys have to apply for a membership only $10. I am not kidding they are better than GameStop. Go check it out! Go and sign up at Play N trade!

I have always loved playing video games, buying games, collecting games. It is a huge hobby of mine, as a child it's all I ever did. I played on the classic game consoles, that were out around the years i was very young from nintendo 64-xbox 360. Sadly the retro consoles that I so loved and held dear are very hard to get a hold of. I am pleased to say though that this game store still sells them. I recently found this store over the summer time I when I was attending a family reunion. I was bored of coarse didn't have any game systems, and I was college bound. My step brother and mother had let me know of this amazing game store that might be able to help me out. So I set out and went to go see this so called amazing game store. When I walked in I was happy to see the shinny happy face that the employee had. He was so very helpful, with information on how I can afford an Xbox360, I had let him know that by the next day I would go buy the xbox, because I did not bring my wallet with me. Before I left I had noticed you could play games like an arcade room. I also had noticed that you could buy the retro games I loved and adored, even the original classics that my parents used to play. I was already beginning to like the store. After that day, the next day I was able to purchase the Xbox-360 for a great deal, 99.99$ that is so much less than what I can get a Xbox-360 at a gamestop. Recently I have had a problem with the xbox360, but after a few n=minutes or so, my xbox360 was fixed. I love this store, and I would love to work at it as well so that I can help others the same way this store did me. I honestly prefer this store over many others including their top competitor Gamestop. SO PEOPLE NEED TO GO TO PLAY N TRADE NOT GAMESTOP!

I purchased a Super Nintendo here. It was playing some games until I found a copy of Super Mario World. It wouldn't play this game at all. This was one of the games that I wanted the system for. I brought it back to them less than 10 days after I had purchased it. They said "sorry we only have a one week warranty." I feel like they should stand behind the stuff that they sell. They have a bad selection of games and no warranty on their systems. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
