High Quality Local Shoe Repair Shop. This little shoe repair shop has been in Höngg since I moved here in 2002. For many years it was run by Mr. Guiseppe Paparo (who's name is still on the window front). In 2016 he retired and handed the business over to Mr. Ilija Filipovic. I just had an old pair of leather winter boots re-soled by Mr. Filipovic, and was very pleased. As Mr. Paparo before him, he was very friendly and did an excellent job of repairing, refurbishing and polishing up the shoes to basically new condition. He even put in new padded leather insoles at no cost without asking. It is obvious he takes pride in his work. It is slightly pricy as it is hand work in ZH, but still less expensive and wasteful than replacing an otherwise perfectly good pair of boots. Great service, recommended.

Basic, average theatre. Location is good with lots of bars and restaurants in the area, but especially Metropol 2 is a very strange layout, with the screen too high and too small, you feel like you're in the belly of a boat looking up at a screen by the bow. Seats in that theatre are also pretty skinny, no drink holders. Enough foot space to walk through in front of people without them standing up though. If you have a choice, look for a better theatre than at least Metropol 2.

Unerwünschte Briefkastenwerbung (unwanted post advertisements). Yet another firm that has no respect for (potential) customers. Even with a "Bitte keine Werbung" sign on the mailbox, their junk mail adverts spam everyone and waste not only paper, but also goodwill. This is a poor way to get new customers, and a good way to damage your reputation. No serious firm behaves this way.

Cool local bar/restaurant based on an antique drug store theme. Staff is friendly, food is good, and it's quirky ambiance has a humours touch.

Pretty normal shopping mall, standard mall selection, nothing special. Big shopping malls aren't my thing, no personality, but this was clean and bright as far as that goes.

Way cool beer bar with a variety you won't believe. Staff are super-friendly, but it can be quite crowded at times.

Yooji's is the 08-15 sushi default in Zürich when you're craving the Japanese speciality, but don't want to pay a fortune. It's fine, but average at best when it comes to the sushi. A step above grocery-store boxes, but not by much.
