Introduction

I created Bicultural Mom blog as a place to express my feelings about race, culture and my own interracial relationship…kind of by accident.  As many know, our family and friends are often the most expressive about our personal choices, and likely won’t see our mixed relationships as off limits. Sometimes that’s not all good.

After struggling for years with the hangups of both our families, I felt that I needed a space where my voice could be heard.  Bicultural Mom is that place where I am heard. It’s my online support group and my own creative corner where I do some of my most important thinking about life.

What I talk about:

Parenthood, activism, feminism, bicultural identity, Mexican American culture, interracial relationships, bicultural/biracial parenting, diversity, multiculturalism, education, and the occasional review or giveaway.
