We officially announced that Google I/O 2016 will take place on May 18th - 20th in our backyard at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA a little over a month ago (https://goo.gl/KzksfU
We’re excited to announce that the I/O Extended program (https://goo.gl/7R9CN0
) will once again bring I/O into local communities across the globe. The program aims to help bring developers together to enjoy the keynote and different sessions at I/O through a live stream; while encouraging collaboration and building new connections. I/O Extended events often include unique developer activities, such as hackathons, code labs, and demos that are organized by Google Developer Groups (GDGs), Student Ambassadors, and local developers.
We had over 500 Extended events in 90+ countries around the world (https://goo.gl/dN6HgP
) in 2015! We’re excited to bring the Extended program back to local developer communities and to celebrate the developers globally. Interested in organizing an event?
-- Please read through the 2016 I/O Extended Organizer’s Guide (https://goo.gl/egtXh4
