The oddball Scribbler.

"The what?" I hear you ask.

Well, it's the scribblings of a few oddballs for your ... entertainment. Take a look at issue 1 and do let us know what you think.

Now with this tin, the image is printed and then laminated onto the lid. It's glued on solid. This one will hold all the cards from 'oddball Aeronauts' and 'oddball Aeronauts 2 : Double the Trouble' if they're unsleeved.

Again, we've used a test image and will produce an image that fits the tin dimensions if we proceed.

Anyone would like one?

Had to share this X-Wing mod here.

Flexi-plastic straw pushed over the existing 'stand' and your x-wing/tie then put into top of the straw. You can now bank those fighters!!

Wish I could take credit for this but this stroke of genius is brought to you by +giles pound - he doesn't really post here on G+ but gave me permission to share his ingenuity.

The image has been printed directly onto the tin. I think we need to make the colours more vivid. Do you agree?

Firefly

Played Firefly last night for the first time!! It’s a pick up and deliver game right? Well, that’s what you’re doing but the experience is a journey game - one where completing the overall mission and winning is completely secondary to how you get there. The fun’s in the journey and even when we had a winner, we played on for the remaining players until all had completed the mission to see what happened and how they got there.

My personal preference would be to have a bit less randomity in how you select jobs and shop - the winner managed to get jobs that required no crew and so breezed through!! Whereas one of the trailing players picked up nothing but illegal jobs that necessitated acquisition of quite a few crew. Although I’m pretty certain when we get into the next missions this won’t be such an issue it shows what can happen in this game.

But treating the game in the manner we did, we all had a lot of fun and are definitely cracking this one out more in the future.

At the beginning of the week, the production of oddball Aeronauts 2 : Double the Trouble officially moved from art prep and validation to the production line itself!

With production set to complete at the end of February ... this year, we're on track for copies to be in the hands of Kickstarter backers in June at the latest. Happy days smile emoticon

You can take a look at the low-res versions of the cards and box here -

The game is afoot! The production cycle of oddball Aeronauts 2 : Double the Trouble begins . . . http://goo.gl/Tcy83F

And did you spot the deliberate mistake in the front cover file of the rulebook?

Happy New Year!

2015 is here. The year of 'oddball Aeronauts 2 : Double the Trouble'. Once our manufacturer returns from their holiday leave (why do they get to have time off??), production will begin and then obA2 will be widely available mid year. So you can double your trouble . . . because that's what we all want. Right?

Whilst that's going on, 'oddball Magiqh' will move out of the shadowy confines of closed beta-testing and be let free and loose on unsuspecting play testers. Well, not so unsuspecting as we've been talking about this adventure game for a while. Anyway, if you want to help playtest oddball Magiqh, just leave a comment to this post. We'll be leaking information here soon.

And we'll be developing oddball Aeronauts 3 where a surface is optional! This must be the only game ever where a feature can be made out of the fact it can be played on a table

Plus we've been playing around with a minis game the likes of which no-one has seen before. Seriously.

Oh, and we've got something a bit different . . . oddball even . . . planned to show off the oddball Realms. If you're a budding writer, we'd love to hear from you (drop a comment to this post).

So lots in store from the oddball Realms and Maverick Muse. 2015 is lining up to be a great year for us. We hope yours is too.

All the bestest wisheses

Deb, Lloyd & Nigel
