He was not experienced enough to fly without another Pilot but since he was who he was he probably thought he knew better. And anyway he flew visual, visual because he had plans to arrive before dark but instead when he boarded he only had a few minutes of sun light left. No horizon and not enough experience to fly is just a dumb decision he made that cost three lives. That's too bad. Another thing is that you cannot stress for days and then fly a plan especially with a couple of hundred hours of flying.. When we fly it demands 100 percent of our attention and I am not exaggerating 100 percent. He did not even do a fly plan, he didn't check the weather again before leaving. What was he thinking? One thing for sure he thought he was a Pilot ready to fly alone and he wasn't, especially over water. Why would he take that chance? This stupid decision took two daughters from a Mother and Father..
