Check out this new platform for music sharing.  It's really cool because it actually incentivizes sharing of music purchases.  and the design...sooo nice.

Highly controversial fed court ruling upholds companies' right to patent genes. How will this affect genetic research?

Just came back from a Thinktank on the Future of Education. Great article describing many of the themes discussed in the Thinktank including an emphasis on career advancement within teaching, and giving the best principals and teachers autonomy to make changes, all without increasing the education budget. Impressive!
Shanghai students are ranked the best in the world, according to an OECD assessment. So why are they so much better than their peers?

Liked the article...who can argue with it? Apparently, many in the comment section did....it's actually hilarious - you get the feeling that national pride colors the reaction

It's fascinating to see the depth of the connections they build, and how they're using the social web's link structure to make content appear from folks you may not even realize you're linked to.

My husband and I chose the Popes as our photographers for our wedding, and we were overjoyed with the service and the results. We looked through hundreds of photographers and we were drawn to the style of the Popes photography. We really liked that they had both the traditional shots and the creative candid shots. We met them for coffee and loved their warm energy. The results were spectacular! We gave them full creative license for the wedding, didn't request any specific shots and they worked their magic. It's like we're looking at those stunning wedding photos you see in magazines. They were such an amazing team to work with. Their after event customer service was also excellent. Timely turnaround for the photos, high quality prints, great presentation, and very high personal touch. They were worth every single cent and I would work with them again in a heartbeat. They book up quick, but if you can get them, I'd highly recommend them.
