DR. LARRY AGLE TO OPEN BURTON ELEPHANT SANCTUARY

Dr. Larry Agle, co-owner of Buckeye Veterinary Service in Burton, Ohio, has announced ambitious plans to open an ELEPHANT SANCTUARY behind the current hospital. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.” the equine veterinarian said with a smile. “It’s important to give back to the community, and I can’t think of a more deserving group.”
Barricades and fences are being installed around the cornfields and forest, and a half acre watering hole will be connected to the existing pond. “Alpacas and elephants often have a symbiotic relationship in the wild” Dr. Agle said, “so they will fit right in out here.”
Elephants have been named an endangered species due to poachers’ desire for ivory. “We have removed any large storage boxes and will only be driving trucks, as we do not want to offend our new residents by using ‘trunks’.” Dr Agle said, sympathetically. When informed that there were no wild elephants in northeast Ohio, Dr Agle said “Of course there aren’t! They don’t have a sanctuary yet!”
