I go to Cayes whenever I have any fish questions or inquiries. The people are friendly and I love that it is a family owned business. Obviously you are not going to go in there expecting it to be like Petco. It smells like fish, well...because its a fish store! Come on people! They know a lot about everything fish and aquariums. I never go anywhere else for fish :D

I went in to Caye’s to get some live sand and rock and start my first salt tank. I have been keeping FW for almost 2 decades but was a little intimidated by salt. I spoke with 2 employees that were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up not making my purchase that day since my pieced together set up was going to be more work than I wanted for my first salt tank. I spent about an hour learning the ins and outs. I did not feel pressured at all to buy better equipment to close the sale. I am going back as soon as I have to funds for the filter and live sand/ rocks. The only downside is when I was there, the selection of salt fish was limited and most were on hold. However, I was informed that they can order most anything I want. I recommend Caye’s over any others in PDX.

Despite what one of the previous posters stated I and my son have had nothing but good experiences from Caye's. I've been keeping both fresh and reef tanks for years and in terms of service and knowledge, Caye's can not be beat. As a small shop they have a limited selection of corals at times, but beyond that the place is clean and well maintained with healthy, thriving stock. Caye's is easily one the the best of the small shops in town..

Caye's pets is the BEST aquarium store in town in my opinion. I have been going there for about 16 years. Shane & Denelle and Jerry & Tammy have spent countless hours helping me. Not only are they some of the nicest people I've ever met but they're VERY knowledgable and caring as well. The store is always clean and well stocked. The array of fish and corals is AMAZING! And the prices are some of the best in town! I HIGHLY recommend Caye's Pets~!!!
