Are you still unsure about how to create the perfect social media post? If so, +Peg Fitzpatrick has the answer: (http://wfa.re/2nbPPZu)

This may be an oldie, but judging from the 18.7K shares, it's a goodie! While you are learning how to create the perfect social media post, you might also realize the benefits of writing an evergreen blog post such as this one!

It really isn't difficult to create a perfect post at all. In our opinion, here on Google Plus, it really comes down to the formatting. Something as simple as bolding the title goes such a long way towards starting out ... why? Probably because most people don't!

It's doesn't hurt that Peg is a master at creating eye-catching graphics either!

Many Businesses Fail at Social Media
These 5 things could help you to not be one of them

A lot of the reason that businesses don't reach their full social media marketing potential is chalked up to:

- poor planning
- lack of clear goals
- not knowing the culture of the social networks they're on

So with that in mind, we created this list to both show why businesses fail and how your business can be proactive in avoiding these pitfalls.

How a UI Revamp Could Help Make Twitter Successful, Again.
And I totally agree with 98% of it! (http://dustn.ws/2morJcQ)

This is a great design breakdown of what things #Twitter could do to revamp it's mobile app interface in order to:

1. Help users be more successful at doing what they want to do with the app
2. Help Twitter be more successful at achieving the goals it set out when it revamped its business strategy

I think the primary reason they're failing at new user acquisition so far is more than just UI/UX, however that is a big piece. The statement from Daryll's friend who was new to Twitter speaks a lot:

"How do I tweet?... How do I go live?"

The fact that he couldn't instantly figure this out on his own was a problem. A problem that I've also seen friends run into when they're new to the app.

Do you HIRE people and then TELL them what to do?

If the answer is "Yes" our question to you is "Why?" ...

Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs famously said “it doesn’t make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.”

That makes a lot of sense don't you think?

Whether you are hiring a new employee, a web developer, someone to manage your social media, or whatever the case, hire smart people and then let them do their job.

Now, keep in mind that they may not do it your way ... and that's okay. Assuming that you are hiring talented, competent people, they will get the job done ... and most likely, if you just give them a chance, they will find the most efficient and effective way of doing it.

Of course, that doesn't mean you can't ask questions. It doesn't mean that you don't have a good process yourself. It just means that you need to trust in your hiring process and the people you hire.

We would love to hear from you! Have you ever been hired for a job and then told what to do ... or have they let you do your job?

Note from social media manager writing this post: I love it that Social Warfare let's me do my job!

5 Ways to Get More Social Shares

Getting your content shared is the holy grail for most bloggers... after all, it validates that your content is "share-worthy" and it helps you reach a larger audience.

But, getting people to share your content isn't easy, is it?

Here are some tips to help you get more social shares!

1) Write better headlines.
You need to grab attention quickly, so having a great headline is essential.

2) Improve your content.
Let's face it, if your content isn't worth sharing, it isn't likely to get more shares no matter what you do. Take the time to write better content and you should see an increase in the number of shares it receives.

3) Make it visual.
People are much more likely to share content that has images, especially images that tell a story or are visually interesting.

4) Drop a few names.
People LOVE to "humble-brag" so if you quote an influencer in your industry (in a genuine way), you have just improved your chances of getting them to share it with their (probably much larger) audience. Win-Win!

5) Make it easy to share.
Include a social sharing plugin that makes it easy and reminds people to share. While we may be a little biased, we truly believe that ours is the best... but don't take our word for it... give it a try: http://wfa.re/2m9Zv5v

BONUS Tip: Write about trending topics.
People are likely to share content that is trending or newsworthy, so writing about them can help you get more social shares. Just remember to write evergreen posts as well!

Do you have any tips to add to this list? We would love to hear from you!
