I found this to be an interesting read. It felt truthy to me.

The concluding paragraph: "The world that produced John Kerry and George Bush is indeed giving us our next generation of leaders. The kid who’s loading up on AP courses junior year or editing three campus publications while double-majoring, the kid whom everyone wants at their college or law school but no one wants in their classroom, the kid who doesn’t have a minute to breathe, let alone think, will soon be running a corporation or an institution or a government. She will have many achievements but little experience, great success but no vision. The disadvantage of an elite education is that it’s given us the elite we have, and the elite we’re going to have."

Huh... this I have to try next time I'm in San Diego.

I found the results for gender, age and geographical location to be pretty interesting.

Since it's 2:40am and I'm at work, this seemed surprisingly appropriate.

Titled: How to park like a girl.

I love how she calmly checks her clearances.

Yay kerberos:

The first two minutes of this are worth watching. 1:08-1:14 is outright amazing, 1:29 will make you smile. Oh and the choreography at 1:01 is beautiful.

Oh, and for those of you who like Lady Gaga, she throws a shoe at the stage, so, do you really need to know more?

The headline is silly, but the text of the article is good. We don't select for creativity.

This is depressing. I'm sick of hearing "cheating only hurts the cheater." Cheating hurts the honest students trying to learn, especially when it is endemic. The higher the rate of cheating in a course (in a modern university, stunningly high) the more honest students are incentivized to become dishonest students... making the problem slowly worse and worse.
