A quick visualization of a collection of 2D point data stored in R-tree, which will be available in the next release of mdds. You can see 4 layers of directory nodes and the bottom layer is where the values are stored.

This particular tree was constructed with bulk-loaded data, which can produce a well balanced tree since the data can be pre-sorted prior to insertion. This picture shows it pretty well.

I wasn't prepared for yesterday's solar eclipse, but here is what I've managed to capture given what I had.

What this is is a projection of a partially obscured sun light through a tiny pin hole onto a cardboard in the dark.

Ok. I feel like it's been ages since I last added any features to LibreOffice, but here we go.

Calc in 5.4 will support 4 additional sheet protection options. I admit it's a tiny piece of enhancement, but hopefully it's useful for some users.

This is an article that I can highly relate to. It's often hard to imagine that the line between "right" and "wrong" is very blur when it comes to technical approaches. When you find yourself calling something "wrong" or "very wrong", often times you are putting your own (unfair) bias into your thought process.

The orcus project is now set up with automated build testing. I'd like to particularly give huge thanks to +Markus Mohrhard for setting this up!
