I have always wanted my development to be closer to the user. I really need for my work to make an impact and to be meaningful. The closer I can get to the people who use it, the more satisfying it is for me. I actually feel like I am doing something that matters to a person, rather than just working with technology.

Jeff Werness is HFI's CUA of the Month for March 2015. "“There has been a fundamental shift from treating digital as a new advertising medium to digital being intrinsic to the human conversation. A big change occurred when we started to move into digital and understand that it is all about giving the customers what they want and need, whether they expressed it or not.” http://ow.ly/JZlA3

"Complex tools can still provide in-depth functionality without overwhelming the user. As product developers and designers, we can do more to understand the ideal workflows, processes, environments, and constraints of the users to provide a better experience and reduce the friction involved with completing a task."
