“Today, we join Canadians of Tamil descent and members of the Tamil community to commemorate the 34th anniversary of the events of Black July.

The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring that Supreme Court of Canada Justices are appointed in a way that is transparent, inclusive, and accountable to Canadians.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the members of the independent and non-partisan Advisory Board who will help support the search for the next Supreme Court justice, which was launched on July 14, 2017.

The Prime Minister and the Governor discussed a range of Canada-Colorado issues, including increasing opportunities for trade and investment, collaborating on the fight against climate change, and the importance of continental security, in particular the Canada-US partnership at NORAD.
