On the face of it, this makes so much sense when compared to putting solar panels on top of tiles/corrugated iron/whatever, particularly when combined with some form of energy storage

"Musk told the audience, “The interesting thing about this is that it actually doesn’t cannibalize the existing product of putting solar on roof. Essentially if your roof is nearing end-of-life, you definitely don’t want to put solar panels on it because you’re going to have to replace the roof. So, there is a huge market segment that is currently inaccessible to SolarCity, because people know they’re going to have to replace their roof. You don’t want to put solar panels on top of a roof you’re going to replace."

Indigenous Australians have been watching the stars in our night skies for tens of thousands of years.

They’ve developed their own knowledge of star patterns and constellations, and those patterns are often completely different to the 88 constellations named in western science.

But at the moment, much of the Indigenous knowledge of stars is largely unrecognised.

It's pleasing to see Tasmanian government taking UNESCO criticism seriously
The Tasmanian Government has begun an assessment of the cultural values of the state's Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA), as it prepares a response to criticism from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) over its management plans.

Loving the thoughts about where this could go ...

Once the processor is connected via a PCIe switch, what's to stop many, many devices being attached?

What if those devices were video cards? Home mainframe?

What if lots of CPU's were attached? Home super computer?

I can foresee pressure being applied on network vendor s to go beyond even before it's out :P
The Flash Memory Summit recently wrapped up its conferences in Santa Clara, California, and only one type of Flash technology stole the show: NVMe over Fabrics (NVMeF). From the many presentations and company announcements, it was obvious NVMeF was the topic that most interested the attendees.

I seriously want one of these.
Remember that live-action Futurama fan film someone was making? In addition to binging Bender, Fry, Leela, Zoidberg, and the professor into our world, the Fan-o-rama filmmakers are working on realizing other characters too, including the all-knowing, benevolent, hypnotoad—ALL HAIL THE HYPNOTOAD (replica).

Wi-Fi extremely flakey. Starbucks Rewards system frequently unavailable to reload too. Drive-thru can be interminably slow too as they don't seem to have any waiting bays

Minchinbury Fruit Market is not only the best green grocery in the area it's also a great continental grocery & has a great butcher (Marathon Meat House) in-store. The store is adequately staffed by friendly people who keep the place clean and well stocked with great produce

Halal Snack Pack 's are all the rage at present - and I think they're great too - but Yiro-Yiro take it to the next level. A choice of chicken, pork or lamb, sauces, chips, salad. It's all next-level. Try the Halloumi chips When you've finished, you can duck-in next-door and grab yourself some stretchy Turkish icecream

This is a great Aldi - a little out of the way (so they often have specials in-stock longer)
