I’ve always loved movement and the human frame. In 2000 I decided to run my first marathon. I had no coach and had no idea what I was doing as all my sports up until that point were more power sports than endurance. Long story short, I ran too many miles in too short a time for my fitness level. The day after I finished my first 15 mile training run I was relieved to be done and I started to stretch out. When I tried to walk into my house I collapsed with excruciating knee pain. I had over done it!
I was drove to the urgent care and the medical doctor told me that I wouldn’t be running any more. She said there was nothing she could do and offered me crutches or pain relievers. Of course neither of those alternatives gave me what I wanted. I began looking for alternatives.
A friend introduced me to a chiropractor. I had never even heard of chiropractic but I was desperate. The chiropractor was very understanding that it was important to me to finish this training and run my first marathon. (I don’t like quitting.) In the matter of a few visits he had me back on the road and I finished my training and my first marathon! Well, I was sold. I dropped out of nursing school, found a chiropractic school and the rest is history.
I graduated in 2004 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. I did some various internships and I joined a successful practice out of school. Time went on and I realized that I needed some breathing room. I had to be free to offer the best health care possible with integrity. To do that, I needed my own place. In April of 2007 I opened Vibrant Potential.
In 2010 I closed Vibrant Potential and opened Transforming Chiropractic. Now located in Uptown, Minneapolis I spend every day promoting vitality. I empower others to live their maximum potential and desire through chiropractic care and adjunctive therapies, education and information, coaching, and being an example. On my best day I transform peoples lives by providing breakthrough results that last.
